Light Parade

Our good friends invited us to go with their family to the Light Parade in Phoenix. It was so much fun and the girls loved it. It will definitely become an annual tradition.

Santa Success

This was the first year taking pictures with Santa that did not involve crying or screaming out of fear. At first Hailey said she wanted a snake for Christmas (which is so not like her), but then decided a doll house would be nice too. Santa was awesome, and I love my little girls in their cute Christmas dresses.

Lindsay's First Birthday

We can't believe Lindsay is already 1 year old. She is such a wonderful little girl to have in our family. To celebrate her birthday we took her to a park to play in the sand and eat pizza and cupcakes. The sunny 75 degree weather made it a perfect day.

In preparation of the fall festivities a visit to the local pumpkin patch was in order.  We were accompanied by the McLaws’ family and enjoyed Midwest activities, even closing the evening with some custard.

St. George

Last week we went to St. George to meet up with some college friends and their families. In total there were 8 adults, and 10 kids under 6. But it was an awesome trip, and we enjoyed every minute of it. We went on a little hike every morning, went shopping, out to eat, swimming, played games, and just hung out. Hailey loved playing with the other girls, and it's always great to see old friends. Hopefully we can do it again soon. Here are some pictures from the trip.

Oktoberfest 5K

Saturday I ran my first 5k at the Tempe Oktoberfest. I had never run farther than 1.5 miles in my life, and I think that was in Junior High. So I was pretty proud of myself for making it 3.1 miles. My time was 34:20, so I still have a lot of improvement. But it was still fun, and I'm glad I had great friends to run it with and something to work towards.

Ward Campout

This past weekend was our ward campout. It was so nice to spend some time outside and experience a day of cooler weather and trees. Hailey had a blast playing with the other kids, and I decided smores made with reeses peanut cups are awesome. The night was a little rough with the junior monster (Lindsay), and all the elk and coyote noises, but we made it through and had a great time.
