Doggie Food is now on the grocery list

We are official pet owners and our children now have their very own puppies! Yup, we are now the new parents to two, 2 month old German Shepherd puppies. Lily's dog that she picked is named Shadow and Easton chose his doggie by sitting on her and she did not squeal and she loves to sit with him. Her name is Heidi because it is a German sounding name and she is a girl. Lily decided on Shadow at 40/40. So below are the pics of the puppies. They of course need to be fed A LOT and loved on a great deal, but they are great to have around!!

They had never seen a camera before...Heidi (Easton's puppy) is on the left and Shadow on the right.
Heidi on the left and Shadow on the right...they stick together!

Me with Heidi because Easton had gone to bed so I am standing in for him!

Lily and her puppy, Shadow. She is so good with her new pet, she talks to her and pets her!

40/40 Pictures are here!!

Greetings!! We survived the 40/40 Safari Orientation in Zambia. The kids did well and lived outside with no electricity and water for 15 days. We lived with a Zambian family for 2 nights and loved it! We learned so much and met many new friends!! Enjoy ALL of the pics below!!! Thank you all for praying for us, God was so faithful and provided for all of our needs (as always) and protected us from the evil one. There are several posts after this one with pics as well!! ENJOY!
Blessings.... The Helgren Fam

Our home for 15 days and nights...a Zimbabwe Tent with 2 FULL clotheslines of clothes! I learned to REALLY was by hand and did it daily to keep from having this many clothes to dry!

Easton in a papoon on my back!

Zambian kids...precious!!

Apton was a worker at the farm in Petauke where we had bush camp. This man is incredible and his testimony is that of Joseph. Apton was imprisioned for a crime that he did not commit and while imprisoned he was beated and starved but continued to lead many people to Christ and he made good relationships with the guards and was set free from prison early because of his witness. Incredible man of God who is always smiling....humbling to consider the things we complain about.

More Pics from 40/40

This is Kendall with Chief K, who is the chief of the Nsenga people of the Eastern Province. Kendall was able to pray over him and the chief told Kendall to consider him a brother. This is a HUGE event in a missionary's career because we must get permission from him in order to minister in the area.
Julia and me with a precious new friend named Mary and her 6 grandchildren in Chinlenje, Zambia.

Edna and me carrying our babies on our backs to church. The women carry their babies on their backs and they call it a papoon.
