Happy Birthday Brennan!!!

Brennan is 6 years old!!!  He was so excited to host a party and we had lots of sweet little boys here to help him celebrate. Brennan really wanted a football themed party, so we braved the cold and had some outdoor activities planned.  We had spray painted a football field in our backyard, which the kids loved.

There was a spot for field goal practice.

And some extra receivers.

Patrick manned an end zone and kept throwing out tosses to the kids while Kellan called out the plays.

Somehow Kellan managed to fall asleep despite the yelling and bouncing.

With a little creative seating we managed to fit everyone in for pizza and Gatorade.

For our dining entertainment we had our very own juggler!  It has just recently come to my attention that Patrick has this skill, and it practically brings me to tears (of laughter) when I see him juggling.  You think you know a person.

We finished off the meal with cupcakes and then let the kids tear up the basement for a bit.  It was so much fun and could not have gone more smoothly.  We did have 3 adults stay to help out and we owe them a big "thank you!"

Happy 6th birthday Bean, we love you so much!!!

Pilgrims & Santa

Now that cold weather is officially here we've been pulling out the hats and gloves.

Kellan sporting his Navy hat.

I got to visit Brennan's class and work on a Thanksgiving project with him.  The kids recited a poem for the parents and sang a cute turkey song.

Me and my turkey.

Our maples finally got some color and then dropped their leaves; the kids were thrilled!

We enjoyed a Thanksgiving program at Isla's preschool, (she's in purple).

We stayed for the Thanksgiving picnic.

We went out to the farm to visit with Santa again this year.

Kellan still refuses to participate in the pumpkin measuring stick photo op.

Watching Santa pull up on his tractor.

Photobomb!

Feeling pretty good about Santa so far....

...and...not so much.

Kellan was slightly hesitant horrified.  Isla wouldn't make eye contact, but Brennan was brave and was able to speak very politely with Santa.

Kellan cheered up slightly after a game of "E.T. phone home",

but still displayed overall displeasure with the entire scene.  Maybe next year K-Dog.  (I just realized that I may not have previously shared that we call him this.  Maybe because it's a little strange.  Sometimes it's K-Doggian...)

November

Here are the official photos from soccer season.  Isla refused to be included in her team photo for some reason.

I took the kids to the farm to smash our pumpkins.  They chose the zipline option and we got to hoist the pumpkins up and watch them crash into a wooden post.

Kellan in a basket.

Fun project with Grandma.

Close-ups!

Trip to the library and playground in the cold.

I can't get this photo to turn, but it's my kindergarten picture next to Brennan's.  We're definitely related!

Kellan trying to figure out Uncle Eric's silly noises.

Someone around here turned 33.  I won't name names.
