The past month

This past month has gone by so fast! I can't believe it's Christmas time! I love this time of year but it sure is a hectic time for everyone. There's so much to be done in so little time! It's so fun though~
My little princess isn't so little anymore~ she's almost 8 months old and we are waiting for her first step any day. She can walk up and down the couch and can let go and stand alone for a good 10 seconds. She is trying to decide if she wants to take a step but just sits down. Mason took his first step at 8 1/2 mo. and then full out walking but 9 mo., so we will see if Lauren beats him!
Derran, Ann & Cousin Brynn came to visit us for Thanksgiving. We had so fun watching Brynn & Mason play. They did so well together this time and Brynn can hold her own!

Little Princess!~


I bought Mason the wood train letters and he was so excited to paint them. He really did a great job of helping me and even managed to keep all the paint on the paper and not the floor! We had so much fun that day!

We had so much fun trick or treating! I was so proud of Mason for not only wearing his costume but actually going door to door and saying trick or treat! He knew that suckers & candy would be the "prize"~ anything for candy!!

month in review

We've had a very busy month- honestly, I haven't been this tired in a long time or ever! I took the two little ones on the road for 11 days without Alan and it was a learning experience. I learned not to do that again without help! He-He! We went to Tennessee to visit cousins Davidson & Judson and our friends Alyssa & Megan. We had so much fun and I am so glad that we went! Hopefully, they will invite us back and my "high maintenance" children weren't too much trouble!

Lauren started crawling & pulling up right before we left on our trip and now she is all over the place. This is the day before we left.


Now Lauren is pulling up on everything- we had to block her off from the tile-
she can pull up and walk her feet in- Mason didn't even do this until 7 months. She beat him by 2 weeks~ I can't believe this and would really love for my baby to stay a baby and not grow up so fast.

Lauren is so happy these days! The medicine has worked wonders! She loves to watch & play with Mason- it is so sweet to watch them interact. She can sit up and even push up to her knees and rock back & forth! It's amazing. She just wants to move like Mason does!

Mason

Mason has been very busy lately! His birthday party, new big boy bed, playing baseball and even starting school! He is only going to Mother's Day Out twice a week but it's still school! He is growing up so fast~

Here he is waking up after the first night in his big boy bed! He was so excited and it has been such an easy transition for him- Yea!

goodbye my friend!

Our good friends Julie & Ethan have just moved to Nashville, TN. I am so happy for them because I know that this is a great opportunity for Ethan but I am sad for selfish reasons! I am hoping that we will be able to visit soooo much that it won't even seem like they are gone! Not only will I be missing one of my best friends but Mason will miss Alyssa and Lauren will be missing her best friend Megan! It doesn't matter how many miles there are between us, we will always be close!!
