Christmas morning!

My wedding anniversary gift!

Kelly gave me a 50 piece Noritake China set for our anniversary! He was going to purchase it and surprise me but decided instead to let me see some different designs so I could choose. It is very beautiful! Thank you, Kelly :)

Two year wedding anniversary.

This is a picture of a cinema like the one we went to.
Kelly and I had our 2 year anniversary on December 22nd. It has gone by very fast and we have had many changes during that time. 3 years ago neither of us could have imagined what our life would be like now; we are married to the person we want to spend eternity with, we are working towards our goals and starting a family in California, and we have a sweet one year old girl who brings such an innocent perspective to our lives. We are very blessed!
Kelly's mom was here for Christmas and so we had a baby sitter right here at our convenience. Kelly took me on a surprise date to a new Gold Class Movie cinema! I had really wanted to see the new 3-D Christmas Carol before Christmas ended, but I didn't expect to see it in such style! We were escorted to a lounge area/club setting with low lighting and candles where we could order drinks (if we drank!) and were given a menu. We had already eaten dinner so we ordered chocolate peanut butter mousse and gourmet popcorn, to be served to us during the movie when we pushed our waiter call button. When we got into the movie we each had a big electric recliner chair with a small table in the middle and we were offered a pillow and blanket. The movie was really fun and put us in the Christmas mood and made a very memorable wedding anniversary!!

Christmas Eve

We celebrated Christmas eve with our friends the Mugemancuros, at their house. We had a delicious clam chowder dinner, with death by chocolate cake for dessert. We had an enjoyable time telling the nativity story, and playing the piano/listening to the piano.

Christmas shopping

We went Christmas shopping for the 20th time the other day! It seems like I told myself this was the last time I was going into a store every time I came out, until Christmas was over, just to get home and realize that we need something else! Jane was very good shopping around, especially when she was let down to "run" and get her wiggles out.

Christmas fun!

Jane has been getting into the Christmas mood by wearing her Christmas dress and riding the carousel reindeer!

Merry Christmas dress!

I bought Jane a Christmas dress the other day so she had one for the first Sunday of December. I think she'll wear it every Sunday until Christmas to get good use out if it! It reminds me of the dresses they wear on White Christmas with Bing Crosby. I also had someone comment at church that it reminded them of my wedding dress, probably because they are both the snow queen look.
It has short sleeves with a fuzzy white collar. I thought she would be fine in short sleeves because it has been so warm, but it clouded over and became windy and cold on Saturday! So, I put a white bolero jacket from another dress over it to keep her warm. I also made her a little red bow to wear (it doesn't show up too well in the picture).

Another Thanksgiving come and gone

I was a poor photographer at Thanksgiving! We had a very beautiful dinner with all of my family, including my Grandma and Grandpa Bradley, complete with elegant food, fine dishes and goblets with sparkling juice. I didn't get a picture of any of it!! I guess I was too caught up in the company and food.

Spencer's large Drumstick!

Spencer, my 12 year old brother, got one of the Drumsticks at Thanksgiving! He is seen here, eating it the night after the big day.

The Golden Spike

Some of my family went out to the Golden Spike National Historic Site with Kelly Jane and me, the day after Thanksgiving. I was preparing a speech for my class at PCC about the Golden spike and I needed some materials there.

A Vatican Guard

I thought this was a cute, puffy little skirt, but Kelly thought she looked like a Vatican guard! She wore it to church anyway and looked very cute :)

Saturday continued

On the way home from Forest Lawn we stopped at Griffith park, which is LA's version of New York's Central Park. Jane loves to swing and lead us around to the toys!
We don't usually bring the car seat in the house but Jane sure loved it the one time we did! She is ready for a new car seat and can now be forward facing because she is over 20 lbs and one year old.

Forest Lawn

We visited Forest Lawn on Thursday and saw the museum and beautiful grounds. I won't try to explain completely what it is, but will way it is a large cemetery with museums, a stain glass of the last supper, beautiful rolling hills of manicured lawn and flowers, churches and marble statues. If you want more info than that, I will direct anyone who is interested to look at the website http://www.forestlawn.com/About-Forest-Lawn/Index.asp

Our grass is really coming in and it sure makes the house look more inviting. Our neighbor, Oscar, came over to help us drill into the pipe for our flag holder.

Look who's walking!

Jane has been able to hold our hand and walk really well, for about 2-3 weeks. We are excited to report that she began walking officially, today! See for yourself.
As a side note: there are those of you (you know who you are!) who might be thinking it looks somewhat dangerous for her to be holding a toothbrush in her mouth because if she fell it could have rammed right down her throat. We did think of this, but I was there to catch her!

Pictures by Grandma Anderson

We thought the sun looked cool in these pictures! Jane loves to bounce on the couch but gets pretty excited and would bounce right off if I wasn't there!

Jane getting in one last wearing of her Halloween attire, the day before Halloween!

At the park (mommy is providing the sound for the train!)

Flu shot, anyone?

This is our former Bishop, Bishop McCallister. I thought his costume was one of the best!

Halloween piano recital

On Halloween day, Kelly held a piano recital for his students. We all dressed up for this! Kelly was a cowboy, I was... someone other than myself and Jane was a white cottontail bunny. Grandma Anderson snapped the cutest picture of Jane reaching up to the piano.

Jane was a little leery of her parents. She didn't know the strange man with a mustache was her daddy, and she wouldn't let him hold her for long! What do I think of Kelly's mustache? Let's just say Jane isn't the only one he wouldn't be holding if he grew one, and Kelly is happy to know that I am remaining a brunette!

Happy Halloween!

Grandma Anderson came for a visit over the Halloween weekend. Kelly had to teach Friday night but Jane, Grandma and I went to the ward Halloween dinner/trick or treating in the church celebration. We had some delicious chili, baked potatoes, tamales and cookies. I dressed Jane up as little Cindy Lou Who from Dr. Seuss's "How the Grinch Stole Christmas".

1 Year old Pictures

Where has this year gone? We had a little baby 1 year ago, and now we have a little girl! We love Jane very much and were so blessed to have her sent to us. She is so happy and friendly and smiles almost all of the time! She loves people and will wave and smile at anyone (as long as she is in the safe arms of mommy or daddy!).
