Raindrops on Roses.....

I was just thinking, I'm a list person... I make lists. I have lists of things I need to do, thinks I need/ have to buy, music I like, movies I like, guys I like... the list goes on and on (pun intended) Well, I had this really good idea to write a list of my favorite things forgetting that just 2 posts ago I did this very thing. But, I'm going to do it again only this time, my lists will be very specific. I will also start out with my original introduction because I thought it was pretty clever:
We all know that Maria's favorite things in life where simple, refined and elegant: Raindrops on Roses, Whiskers on Kittens, bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens. Those things were great back in her day times have changed and really.... we all want more! So here are a list of my favorite things!

Favorite Household items I can not do with out:
1. Tide to go stick- I keep it in my purse at all times, I have saved many a friends live ( and their clothes with this!)
2. Febreeze- I have a really strong sense of smell and this works wonders whenever I start to smell something funky... on the couches, pillows, my car, sometimes I spray it in my hair
3. Kleenex- I can't live without this since I am pretty sure that I have had a constant runny nose since October of 2003. For some reason it gets worse at church too. I saw an episode of Grey's once where this person thought they had a cold and really they were leaking brain fluid out of their nose, I was a little worried about that one....
4. Laundry detergant- I know what you are thinking, Kellyanne, no one can live with out this but, I love the smell of clean clothes!! I look forward to taking my clothes out of the dryer or waiting for them to line dry and just sniff them. I will tell you what, there is nothing better than hugging a man with a clean shirt!! I makes my knees go weak.

Favorite Songs of the moment:
1. well, I think my song play list will actually clear that up.... every song on that list is my favorite song of the moment. So take a moment to scroll though and give a listen to each of those songs.
2. I sing in my car every single day and I love it. I have a 30 min commute to work each way so I spend an hour a day in the car. If you ever pass by me, you will see me singing and I don't even care. so here is a little subdivision of my fav lists. fav songs to sing out loud in the car.... a. All that Jazz-Chicago b. Broken wing-Martina Mcbride c. Take a bow- Leona Lewis d. Heartbreaker- Mariah Carey e. Keep Breathing- Ingrid Michaelson f. Halo-Beyonce

Favorite Fall shows
1. Grey's Anatomy!!!! Makes me laugh, scream, cry not just little tears full on sobbing! I love it!!
2. The Office
3. The Biggest Loser
4. Vampire Diaries... before you judge give it a shot
5. the entire food network
6. I can't believe I'm going to add this... Sonny with a Chance

Favorite celeb crushes at this moment (subject to change at any time)
1. McDreamy-That one word sums it up right there
2. Paul Wesley-please use him as a template of who you can set me up with
3. Steve Carrel- not as michael scott, just as himself
4. John Krasinski- I adore him. He's like the "boy next door type"
5. Sterling Knight-yes, he's only 20 but he is soo cute
6. Steven R. McQueen- ok so he's young too but his grandpa is Steve McQueen and that makes him hot by association

Favorite fall time food
1. Homemade soup. Once I had soup cooked inside of a pumpkin and that was divine
2. Herbal Tea, not a food but good none the less
3. Hot Chocolate
4. Pumpkin bread, cookies, roll, shakes, ice cream... anything but pie
5. Anything warm and cinnaminy, now I am hungry

Other favorite things in general
1. The smell of cologne, man oh man, if a guy walks by me, even if I don't find him attractive, if he smells good... I automatically turn around and am intoxicated by his scent
2. the giggles. I hear some really funny things everyday because I know and always meet funny people. Lately people will tell me things and I will keep laughing about them the rest of the day
3. For those of you who read my facebook status you have learned lately that I check out guys while I'm driving (while singing... good combo). so to Mr. Hottie Red Jeep and Mr. Hottie Silver Truck, thank you for making my drive home worth it

This is Paul Wesley... Mr. Vampire Diaries

Ok, I am out of lists for now! Hope you enjoyed them
And these are some fun list books in case you actually like making lists like me! I have 2 of them. One of them I have is just a life lists type and then I have a love listography book too!

From the mind of a 16 year old....

So the other day this thought hit me like a brick.... Oh my gosh, I wrote a letter to myself in young woman's 10 years ago and I was supposed to open it this summer!!! So, I've been racking my brain trying to remember where I put it. I have been carrying this letter around with me for 10 years and I always seem to find it when I don't need it. A few times over the years I've been tempted to read it and never have. So after searching through my whole room and all my junk.... I have found it! I just read it.... and I'm thinking to myself... really? You have waited 10 years to read that? It was very anti-climactic. And, I pretty much knew what it was going to say. Of course at age 16 I thought I'd be married by now. The letter goes as follows: Next time you read this you should (heavily underlined) be married with atleast 1 kid. Hopefully you are married to (protecting the innocent, I'm going to use a fake name) John Doe. Remember him? Sophmore English/ If you're not, I forgive you. I know your guy is great! Today in young woman's we learned about knowledge. There are 4 areas: 1-academic/vocational 2. Cultural/arts and sports 3. Practical and 4. Spiritual. In 10 years I hope to have learned about Cosmotology or photography. I also hope to have been married in the Salt Lake Temple.
Love always,
Kellyanne Malbica (written June 6, 1999)

So I have decided that I am going to write a letter to my 16 year old self. I'm writting this letter as if I could possibly send it back in time where I would read it and inevitably change the course of my life... or atleast bring more understanding to it.
Dear Kellyanne (written Sept 21, 2009)
If you are reading this, my plan worked. You should be getting ready to start your Jr. year of high school. This is the 26 y.o me writting this and there are just a few things I want you to know. It might make your life easier. And no, I'm not telling you who I am married to or if I'm even married because that will ruin the magic of things. Kellyanne at 16 you experience some really hard things. Harder than most at your age have yet to face. You recently had a death in your family. The passing of Grandpa Evans was a lot for you to take in. Just know that where you will always miss him, You will have times in your life where you feel he is right there with you. You were also recently in a car accident and are still very afraid of being in a car. I know you pray each and every time you are in a car but, that will eventually go away. Please listen to everything your physical therapist tells you to do and listen to mom when she constantly tells you to wear your scars with pride. Your scars are now apart of who you are. They tell a story of bravery and strength. Also, they make for good ice breaker conversations and guys dig them!! Be nicer to your siblings. You may not always get a long with them and someday you will become better friends with them and you'll regret how much time you spent being mean. Especially to Drew. You will one day wish you had gotten to know him better when he was younger.
At the age of 16 you are still very innocent and struggle with the thought of others making mistakes. You need to forgive people and realize that everyone (even you) are going to make mistakes. And there are friendships you have now that you still will have in 10 years when you are my age. Hold those friendships close. They mean a lot to you. Don't be so quick to judge. Remember there are two sides to every story.
Don't be discouraged when that cute boy you like doesn't ask you out. Never let it make you feel like less of a person. You are a good person and a boy not liking you is not ever worth questioning your personal worth. There is someone better out there for you. I know up til now all you've ever wanted is to experience love. You always have been and always will be a hopeless romantic. You will get that, you will feel love that makes you act insane, makes you lose sleep, and brings you joy. But, you will also experience the loss of that same love, a loss so deep that you cry harder than you could ever imagine to the point that you feel like pieces of your soul have been ripped out and shattered. But, know this, the saying it is better to have loved and loss then to never have loved at all, is very true. You will be strenghtened and you will grow emensly from everything you experience. You are very blessed. Don't let anyone tell you that you're not. And don't let anyone try to tell you that you are less than what you are. Be happy and look on the bright side of every situation. You will do good things. Always remember who you are.

Love,
Kellyanne
P.S if a guy ever calls you past 10:30pm and wants to "hang out" just tell him no ;)

How do you like your eggs? And other ramblings that come with thinking to much

So I've been thinking a lot lately about life, dating, personalities and such, I do my best thinking late at night unfortunatly when I should be sleeping. So while I've had these late nights of deep thinking I've come up with some thoughts I'd like to share: I was thinking about how I used to be a little bit like Julia Roberts in Runaway Bride, how she doesn't quite know who she is and every guy that comes a long she became what they wanted her to be. How she didn't know what kind of eggs she liked and she just ordered the same eggs as the guy she was with. When ever I liked a guy, I would find something about them that they liked and tried to like it too. For example, once I bought a John Mayer cd cause someone I like liked him. I'm not even a huge fan of him. I only listened to that cd for a little bit and then realized I wasn't that into it. I also went through an Eminem phase for a guy too... I mean, I think it's great and important to have some things in common with a guy and find things you both can relate too but, as I've gotten older, I realized how important it is to be yourself. After all the heart aches and all the tears and frustrations I know that all I can do is be myself.

My Story Continued....

So as you all know, I am a terrible blogger! Obviously since it has been since January since I've posted. This is almost how bad I am at writing in my journal.... So rather than spend too much time catching you up on my year, I'll just try to be better and start over! I just want to add a list of things that make me happy right now. I've had a rather tough past few weeks of broken hearts and well... that about sums it up but, I like to look on the bright side of life. I'm moving upward and onward and looking to the small things to make me happy! So here it is... my list of top fav things that make me happy right now!

1. Being a Temple worker at Mt. Timpanogos
2. The fall time!!! I love everything about fall
3. Cooler temperatures
4. Cardigans! I love them and probably own too many.. some of you don't know this but, I get creeped out by Mister Rogers, but, when it comes to cardigans, we would be friends
5.my blackberry phone! I can keep all my clients appointments in it and get email and internet! all in a cute little phone
6. Painting Crafts. I've been repainting picture frames, vases, old jewelry chest... just trying to take some old things and make them look new and done my way
7. Song lyrics.... I love song lyrics that relate personally to me. It doesn't have to be the whole song just bits and pieces of them but, I feel as if they were written for me
8. Redvines! I love those things
9. my hair.... yes, that is pretty vain but, if only you all knew the story of my hair! I was telling my students the other day that if they could watch a movie of my hair life, they would be so impressed at how things turned out for me. I've come a long way since being teased about having frizzy hair! It's an accomplishment for me and I'm proud of it!
10. Dreams, I love dreaming, I always have crazy dreams. They are sure entertaining! I recently bought a dream book and I like to look up what things mean. Like last night I had a dream my house was on fire.... the book said I need more passion in my life
11. really cool websites such as etsy.com which is people's homemade stuff. I recently ordered a ring from it and wow! it's gorgeous! I am amazed by people's talents!! Also, whiskeymilita.com which has really good deals on clothing and sports gear. They had a cute nixon watch on sale for like $25! I didn't get it but, it was a great deal! Also, they have tons of cute boy clothes! There was this DC sweater for a man that I so wanted to buy and save for my future someone... bad idea since I wouldn't know size or style choice. Good thing I didn't get it!
12. This isn't in any perticular order... just what's coming to my mind, so don't think I consider Drew to be #12 on my list of prioreties... but, yes, my brother Drew is on a mission in cleveland ohio and I love getting emails from him everyweek. I so look forward to them. He's doing great and I miss him but, am glad I get to hear from him
13. the food network! Why have I just discovered this? I have no idea... but, i know that it makes me want to eat really yummy food! and also makes me want to cook too! Which is great because I've never been much of a chef and one time I told my aunt (who by the way is an amazing cook) that I probably wouldn't cook for my future family, and she said "you have to cook for them, it's how you show them you love them" well... i'm cooking more and more and yes, someday my family will know how much I love them by how much I cook for them!

Ok so I think 13 is a good amount of happy things for now! I hope you all enjoy reading this and just know that I am doing well and loving life!

TTFN!
