Another day at the Zoo plus more

We had an unusually sunny day recently so we all ventured to Point Defiance Zoo. We enjoy this small little zoo because you can see everything in less than 2 hours.

Afterward Hayden really wanted to go hiking. The zoo is in such a beautiful area that we drove around and found a trail. After a little hiking we stumbled upon railroad tracks and old logging equipment. It was really fun to explore the area.

The end of another really great day!

Twins Day

Hayden's school calendar had "twins day" listed and I didn't think too much of it until I got a call from one of his friends moms whose son wanted to be twins with Hayden. She had already picked them up matching shirts which was great. I loved the idea! So Hayden and Logan dressed as twins and I volunteered in the classroom that day so I could get a picture.

I wish I would have taken the picture BEFORE Hayden spilled his drink all down the front of his shirt. Oh well!

Pacific Science Center

We spent a fun day at the science center enjoying the dinosaurs, kids play area, insects, and butterflies.

The Gemini Capsule

Kendall darted for the train once it entered her line of sight.

Kendall and Papa Wes

I liked this butterfly exhibit better than the one at the local zoo.

Thanks to my parents for treating us to the Pacific Science Center and the season pass that we have already enjoyed again!

Go Huskies!

Tadj and Hayden were able to enjoy a really good college basketball game this year: Washington v. UCLA. The Huskies won and Hayden lasted through the entire game. It was a good day!

Who needs fireplace mantel decorations?

...When you can have Indiana Jones artifacts made out of Legos!

Hayden's latest obsession is with Indiana Jones. It took awhile to convince him that our regular mantel decor needed to be put back up. So we moved the decorations to the top of our dog kennel, which is actually a really cool wood end table. I am happy to say the kennel is still empty.
