It's beginning to look and feel a lot like fall.

Today was a cold one my friends, a high of 50, but it stayed in the 40s most of the time. I went to class today wearing my over sized sweater I thrifted from a goodwill and a collar long sleeve top I bought from work. The tights and socks around the ankles kept me pretty warm only if I could have found my gloves, the tips of my fingers were cold in between walking to classes. I was tired today, I spent all of yesterday working on a play for my creative writing class and downing cups upon cups of coffee to stay awake in the process. Looks like I will be doing the same tomorrow with working on a short story and studying for a western civ test that I'm taking on Tuesday.

We all know there is a lot of tv shows to watch now-a-days, well it is fall and that is when the new seasons start up and well some end. Since it's October and around the corner is Halloween I've picked three shows that I think everyone should be watching or least try out. Two of the shows are brand new and one is up for it's second season now. The two that I'm talking about being new is the British supernatural/somewhat comical and thriller tv show The fades and the American tv show American Horror Story. The Fades centers around a 17 year old boy named Paul who keeps having very detailed reoccurring nightmares he finds out he is an angelic a person with supernatural power who is destined to save the world from no other the creatures that are the fades, think ghosts turned zombies. American Horror story is a different story, it's about a family who moves to California into a really old house with more than an interesting story or two behind it. Basically the house has some sort of strange history that is lashing itself onto the new family. I can't really go into details about this one due to the fact that it really messes with your head and well I don't really know the plot or the goals of the characters yet. The walking dead, I'm sure some of you have at least seen one episode of the walking dead. Basically Zombie, it's about zombies if the title didn't give it away. It's about a group of survivors trekking across Atlanta and other parts of Georgia in search for supplies and other people while trying to survive.

Sweatshirt

I work retail and I'm sure some of you do as well. I work retail for a department store in my area, thank god it's not located in a mall, but it's still a large department store and I usually run the largest department in the store which is the misses/women's department. I'm telling you and I'm sure you know, but working retail can be hard on the body, I'm constantly putting bulks of clothing up at a time to save time and to get the store to look good and running around. When I work my longer shifts 7-8 hour shift I usually end up getting really sore. I don't find working retail an easy job or a job for those who can not be patient for the slowest, annoying costumer that needs your help. I never take advantage of sells at work though and probably should. What I'm going on about this is that I worked two long shifts this weekend and have a lot of homework to work in process of getting sick. Also I'm sore from running the misses department on my own.

below is a sweatshirt look. Dressing up a sweatshirt.

The loss of an Innovative man

Shake Me Down

It's been a while guys, haven't update again, but this time I've photographed two outfits so I will post one today and another probably in 3 days. Not a lot has happened since the update except the fact that I went to Music Midtown in Atlanta and saw The Joy Formidable, Band of Skulls, Manchester Orchestra, The black Keys and the main headline cold play, sadly I did not get to see the band I really wanted to see which was Cage the Elephant, funny enough they were the only band I purchased merch from( photos at the way bottom). Thankfully I've been listening to them none stop getting ready to see them in November, hopefully if my work lets me take that day off.
So the outfit below is nothing fancy, it's one of those "go to forever comfy outfits", I'm mastering the go to outfit currently, trying to produce more ideas than going to the average pair of skinnys and cardigans. I'm just wearing a sweater from H&M and jeans, which fit me like a glove. What I most liked about this outfit is the headband I love the touch of gold.

Class has been kind of a drag lately, nothing really due, but enough homework to keep me on my toes.

Stolen Hearts (a poem I've been working on)
The metro, sitting, staring. The people are sitting unaware of what I’m aware.

The trains are veins, the metro, transporting it’s people from place to place.
The people are blood cells, sitting on it’s plastic seats, going the steady pulsating beat to the organs, the Eiffel tower, Sacre coeur, Arc de Triomphe, the Louvre, any landmark.

The city of Paris is an entity of it’s own, a siren, a spirit, a predator.
Every corner, every building, every street, so inviting, wanting and grabbing.
It seduces you, bringing you in. It needs you.

It’s like the city had thrusted its hands into my chest and ripped my heart out.
The ripping of chests and the pulling of hearts. It repeats itself with every new person who visits, leaving the beating core in the location of where the soul fell in love with the most.

I left my heart on the metro in Paris, France
It was three years ago and I don’t want it back
