Christmas was Christmasy

Christmas is sort of a funny holiday when your 20 month old has no idea what that means. :)

This was Luca right before present opening:

This was Luca when we "made" him come upstairs to open presents!
He has a lot to learn... :)

But everything was better once he saw what was IN all those wrapped presents.

The FIRST present opening... a dump truck!!

Here Uncle Aaron, I'll share my trucks with you.

Oh no! There's a Wocket in my Pocket!

Mama and Papa Bear to Be... :)

But not nearly as fun as jamming with Uncle Aaron...

We're having a GIRL!

We had our big ultrasound today and the tech confirmed we are indeed having a girl. :) We couldn't be more excited to have one of each! And I am also very glad that we didn't get the even bigger surprise of having a boy, since we both have been calling this baby a "she" for weeks.

Everything else looked perfect and normal. I am measuring another 2 days ahead, so, technically I've gone from May 13, to May 10, to May 8th. This baby likes to grow fast. :) They are sticking with the May 10th due date though.

The entire ultrasound she was kicking and punching and moving around, so we've got a wiggler in there. I can feel the kicks now too, which is wonderful. And of course it's always amazing to see all the anatomy - the brain, spine, stomach, kidneys, femur, etc... So very cool.

Yeah for Team Pink!!

It's a Toddler Christmas

I have many little videos of Luca's toddler class practicing for their big Christmas Program, but haven't posted any since I was waiting for the big unveil of the real deal. But, as fate had it, I ended up with an ER hangover, in bed with the stomach flu. Anthony was sweet enough to dress Luca up in his fancy duds and heard him over to the program without me. But since he doesn't work at the school and know the little ins and outs, he ended up in the far back and not in range to get some good videos. (I would have pushed my way up to the front, "oh excuse me, I work here...")

So, I decided to just post the practice videos because you still get to see our sweet active Luca in all his toddler glory. :) And there are some pictures at the end of Luca after his program eating his FIRST M&M cookie. He really liked the "M's" (which is his new favorite letter).

The coolest place to hang out

Luca pulled the laundry basket over to where I was sitting at the computer, went and got his new Christmas book (thanks Jeff and Lynda!!), and had a seat. He stayed there for at least 20 minutes! I guess he found a cool new place to hang out.

Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow

Socks, footie pajamas, snow pants, boots, coat, mittens, and a hat. It takes a lot to go out in the snow.

It's freezing, but this is very exciting.
