Jace Soccer Week 4

Jace's team also won today.  They are now 2 and 2. We missed the first half of Jace's game because his game started only 30 minutes after Kade's game.  Grandpa and Madison were there for the whole time.

Jace is enjoying soccer and becoming pretty aggressive when it comes to blocking the ball. Here are some pictures.
throw in

He just helped score a goal.

Concentrating on kicking the ball.  Always trying his best!

Jace keeps the ball from the other team.  He said that this was the best part of the game because he kept their best player from getting the ball.

Keep up the great work Jace!
Go Red Wolves!

Kade Soccer Week 4

Kade's team is undefeated!  They have 3 wins and 1 tie.  They won today 5 to 0.  Kade played amazing as always.  His team worked together really well today.  Some of the players that have not been very strong, shined today.

Kade did not score any goals today, as he played mostly defense and he even sat out one quarter.  But he still played his best!
High fives all around after one of the 5 goals!

Check out his concentration, he heads this ball.

He gets his whole body into his penalty or free kicks.

Great job dude and to the entire team!
Go Vortex!!

Soccer Week 3

Both boys had amazing games today!  Jace's team won their first game 6 to 4!
Jace running hard for the ball

Jace is learning how to control the ball better.

Kade's team tied 1-1.  Kade scored the only goal for his team on a Penalty Kick.
Kade likes to trick other players...

it always throws people off that he is left footed

Super excited team after Kade's PK sails right over the goalies head!  Perfect kick!  Great job dude!

Great job Red Wolves and Vortex!

Kade game 2

Kade had a double header today.  This game was also a win 4 to 3.  Kade scored 1 goal playing center d, again!).

Not many pictures of this game... but I did find one good one of Kade.
Although this ball looks like it is going right to the keeper, it curved and was good!
Keep up the great work Vortex!

Jace game 2

This was Jace's 2nd game.  It was a hot, long, hard game.  The team did not score and allowed several goals for the other team.  I think the boys were hot, tired and frustrated.  Everyone played their best!
Jace played keeper in the 3rd quarter.

playing midfield is a hot sweaty job!

Keep up the great work Red Wolves!

Kade Game 1

Today was a LONG day of soccer.  Kade had a double header and Jace had a game, plus Mike had to referee a game also.

Here are a few pictures from Kade's first game.

Oh yeah... Kade's turn to score (the game winning goal, while playing center defender!!)

This was a 3 to 2 win for our team! Way to go Vortex!

Coin Toss... Jace was one of the captains.

Jace is getting a little more aggressive... check out that elbow!

Jace played keeper for one quarter.  He did a great job!

Great job this week Jace!

Cousins!

Over the holiday weekend we had some visitors at our house.  There were 12 of us for the weekend... our house is a good size... but man I realized this weekend how loud, giggly, crazy, whiny, and fun 8 kids ranging in age from 4 to 15 can be!

We did not do EVERYTHING this weekend together.  There were some that wanted to stay home for various reasons, but overall we had a great time!
Throwing rocks in the aqueduct

Paul, Liz, Jace, Rachel, Abi, Madison, John, Sarah, Tracy & Kasey went to the aqueduct to throw rocks in the "river"

We also went to the park for play time, while Uncle Paul fixed our front door and added a "frame" to our gigantic magnet board in the kitchen.  Madison stayed home.

Playing Mafia on Sunday evening after church.  Notice that Tracy is cracking up... why???  Because we were picking on Kade for making funny facial expressions when he is the Mafia, so he put on the Spiderman mask... he was called Spidey the rest of the game!

Monday before the Mavericks game we went out geocaching.... this one was a bit of a walk, so I headed back to get the car and a few of the tired kids rode with me.

The whole crew.... found this one (after a really long walk!)

Thanks Tracy, Paul and kiddos for coming and spending the holiday weekend with us!  We can't wait to come see you in a few months!
