Route 66

We decided to take Route 66 for most of the way home.  We went through a little town called Oatman.  It was a cute little town (huge tourist trap!), it was a good stop on the way home.

There were burro wandering the streets.  Madison stopped to take a picture of one

just a cool picture

Daddy bought mommy this nativity in Oatman.  It is handcrafted one of a kind.  The rock behind is what the rock looked like before it had been treated.

Then we stopped to do some geocaching and take some fun photos.

Here are also some Route 66 photos from earlier in the week when Daddy, Kade and a few others went out geocaching up near Peach Springs.

We had an adventure filled week and some great family moments.  I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving too!

Almost ready to head home...

After Grandma Sue left with Cheila and Hunter and Uncle Mark and his family headed to the Grand Canyon, we had a few more adventures left.  We looked for a geocache on this train and the kids played for a little bit.
Three little goofballs!

We decided to head over to the Route 66 Museum.
Outside the Route 66 Museum, also the beginning of our road trip home.

Then we had lunch at a cute little 50's diner.  They had yummy homemade rootbeer.

After lunch we went to the Mohave Museum of History and Arts.

In this museum they had pictures of all the presidents and first ladies

Thanks Tracy & Paul for one last adventure together before we left!

London Bridge

To get the kids (and adults) out of the house, we decided to head down to Lake Havasu and the London Bridge.  The kids threw rocks in the lake for a while, then we took some pictures and walked the river walk up to the bridge.

Afterwards we finished up with Pizza!  Another great family adventure!

Webelos Project

While we were in Arizona, Uncle Paul helped Kade complete two Webelos projects.  He needed to make a tool box and a step stool.  Kade did not really like the drilling part, but he did it with help.  Grandpa Steve even joined in on the building action!

All done... step stool and tool box!
Thanks Uncle Paul for all your help!

Thanksgiving Day

We were able to spend Thanksgiving this year with daddy's side of the family this year.  We went to Tracy & Paul's house for Thanksgiving, Grandma Sue and Grandpa Steve, and Uncle Mark and his kids joined us.  Here are some pictures from Thanksgiving dinner.

Jace enjoyed his rolls and potatoes.

It was a great day spent with family.

Pumpkin Pie!!!

Even though we were not at home for Thanksgiving, we Mike and the kids were still able to make our annual pumpkin pies.  Since we were at Tracy & Paul's this year, Elizabeth joined in the making of pies.

Here are some pictures from the pie making experience.

The 5 girls and the finished pies, yup they made 4 of them!

I am told they were very yummy!  Great job girls!

Thanksgiving Geocaching

On several occasions throughout the week Mike took the kids Geocaching.  Who went varied.  But overall it was a good time.  Here are some pictures from the geocaching adventures throughout the week.

More to come!
