Our trip to Pennsylvania

The boys and I got to visit Grandma and Grandpa Toone in Pennsylvania this last month! We were there for 2 1/2 weeks! While it was hard to be away from David for so long (he stayed in UT to work), we had lots of fun hanging out w/ Grandma and Grandpa and seeing the fun things around York. He had the most fun playing with Grandma's stash of tools and trucks and other fun toys. We flew out w/ Heather and Jake - Jake went out to meet Dad and ask for his permission to ask Heather to marry him! Everything worked out great and I enjoyed having their help on the plan ride out there. Flying w/ two little boys is quite the experience! Somehow I managed to make it home w/ them on my own. Hopefully David will be able to join us the next time we venture out to the East coast. Here are some pics of our trip!

Life changes

September has been a crazy month! David started his job in West Jordan working for State Farm, so we decided we'd better move so we could live closer and not worry about the commute. After a few anxious weeks of looking for a nice not-too-expensive place in Salt Lake Valley, we finally found a condo to rent! Though it's smaller than our home now, it should be perfect for us for the next several months until we decide where we'd really like to settle down. (David doesn't know yet where he'll be opening up his own agency, if that's even the route he decides to take.) We also found someone who's going to rent our townhome so we can hold on to it, even though we don't really plan on moving back. We're really going to miss all the friends we've made here, and I'm going to miss living in this area! But we feel this is the best thing for us for right now.

One sad thing is we decided we'd better sell our Pippin - the shih tzu we've had for the last year and a half. Fortunately we found a great family who fell in love with him and should give him the attention he's been lacking the last few months. Having two kids and a dog has been a little to much for me! Anyway, change is good, right? I guess we just need to keep looking ahead, and have faith that things will work out in the long run.

Bye Pippin!
