Stomach Flu Round 2
Bless Avery's poor little heart she has come into contact with someone carrying that dreaded stomach virus again, probably from someone in the Little Rock Mall that we ventured to on Monday. Anyway yesterday afternoon she told me that her tummy was hurting and it wasn't long before it was on. It was pitiful, just on and on. Well this morning we get up after she has been sick off and on through the night and her temp was 104.7, okay that is getting a little too high for me, so I called Dr. Khanfar's office and they said she needed to be seen, well of course she does. So Craig, Avery and I were off to Monroe where we were given the choice to put her in the hospital because she can't keep anything down or to try the fennigran creme which is what we opted for. She was not dehydrated thank the Lord. So then Avery and I sat in the truck while Craig waited nearly an hour for a prescription of Fennigran that cost only $.91. Can you believe that? That was the only good part about it. You don't get too much for under a buck these days. Anyway, hopefully poor little Avery will feel like even caring if Santa comes to see her or not, because as of right now, she doesn't.
Best Wishes to everyone for a very Merry Christmas.
Hugs and Kisses.

Aminn is ONE!

Aminn turned one yesterday, he shares his birthday with John Riley. Riley turned 18 yesterday and Aminn turned one. Talk about having your g-babies spread out. Unfortunately, Riley and Tori neither one were able to be here to share Aminn's 1st Birthday with the rest of the family.Aminn did exceptionally well considering they had been up since 4:45 and flew out of ElPaso @ 8:00 am, and didn't get her till almost 5 last night. We were so happy that they were able to be here for us to all share in his special day. Just a few pics from last night.

REDHEADS AND SANTA CLAUS
Found this a while back and just had to put it on here too, this is me @ 3 1/2, 1970.
This is just a little funny I wanted to share. My sister in law called and said that they had taken Aminn to see Santa Claus and that they had gotten his pic taken and that he cried the whole time. DD was telling Santa that she had a 5 year old niece that to this day still had never sat in Santa's lap. He said she must be a red-head. She laughing said yes she is redheaded and blue eyed. He said "Haven't seen a red head yet to sit in Santa's lap" Then I remembered a conversation that I had had earlier in the day yesterday with a friend from Bastrop. We were talking about Santa Claus and Christmas and I said that Avery wasn't all worked up over Santa and the fact that she had never sat in his lap and she said neither had her daughter. Well after hearing what Santa had told DD guess what color hair my friend's daughter had, RED, you guessed it. So I was just curious to see if you knew of anymore redheads that wouldn't sit in Santa's lap. Just thought this was too cute not to share.

SMBC Hanging of the Green
Last night our church had it's annual Hanging of the Green ceremony, and for those of you who have never heard ot it, it is when the church families decorate the sanctuary with the greenery and all the other decorations. I had never heard of this till I joined South Main. But it really is a beautiful ceremony. The children carry the crismons for the Crismon Tree and the Nativity figures for the Nativity display in front of the altar. It's a real hustle and bustle time so there isn't a lot of time for taking pictures. But I did get Gena Price to slip down to the front pew and get a couple of pics of the children while they sang Jingle Bells and Away in a Manger. Afterwards we have what is called a tea tasting which involves absolutely no tea whatsoever, but...there sure is lots of food, and I mean every kind of fingerfood you can imagine. The different sunday school classes all bring goodies to supply their table. And let me tell you, everyone outdid theirselves.
The only bad thing about last night was that Avery started around 2 am with the stomach virus. Bless her heart she has vomited and the other end all night. She is asleep now and has been for several hours, but she didn't get any sleep last night. She was a real trooper, never shed a tear just took it like a big girl. Don't know where it came from, maybe one of the kids last night was carrying it, who knows, I know it has been making the rounds.

A Good Day with Old Friends
Poor Macee, Avery just clung to her.
Austin, Avery and Macee at the wishing fountain.
If you look closely you can see a smile sneaking out of Macee's mouth.
Ausitn, they just had to ride upstairs, didn't make for good pics.
My little munchkin didn't even get on an animal, she wanted me to come ride with her.
Last Saturday, Avery and I actually got out of town and went to Bastrop to watch a very dear friend of mines son, Austin, play basketball. They were playing at Prairie View, my old alma mater. And I think that was the first time I had stepped into that gym in 23 years. The exact date was May 20, 1985, the night I graduated. Seemed a little weird and sad at the same time. Wow how the time flies.
Anyway, after the game, we headed to Monroe to watch the new Disney movie "BOLT", and it was real cute. We ended up going to the matinee at the mall, which was only $2.50 a person which I thought was great. But they could not keep the popcorn popped. I still don't know what the deal was, people would order and they would have to wait for it to pop and then they would give them their bags and then they would be out again, just wasn't run to well. And I love me some Movie Popcorn. Not much else that can beat it. Anyway, we had some time to kill before the movie and so we did lunch, and a little shopping. I had my camera with me and got a few pics of the kids together. I have loved living in Crossett, but I sure do miss getting to see my old friends on a more regular basis. I have made many new friends here and love them all dearly but still miss my old friends. Alicia and I tried to figure out how long it had been since we had done anything together and we decided it was before she had Austin and he is 10 so 10 years is too long. I saw a lot of them at Avery's birthday party but it was just not for long enough and I was so busy.

Daddy finally got a deer.
Craig finally got a deer. a 6 pt. Not that it matters to me at all, cause most of you that know me, know that I am a huge animal lover. I had to come to terms with the whole hunting thing when I married a hunter. It will never be for me, but hey that's okay too. I am pretty sure my Avery will follow in her daddy's footsteps in this matter. She loves it. My daddy never hunted so I was never around any of it growing up, that's okay too, cause honestly I don't think I could have done it anyway. Remember the movie Powder and the deer scene, that says it all for me. But I am happy for you "deer slayers" that do get into it. You go girls!!!
Avery # 2

Had to show this to Robin, wanted you to see that your kind genorisity of passing down Avery # 1's jacket didn't go to waste . Avery # 2 ( as Robin calls her) has started dance this year and her Minnie jacket is all the rage, since it looks like Minnie has on ballet shoes too. Thanks so much for this cute little thing, I'm quite sure it is some more of your handy work. Thursday, October 30, 2008
Slime Fest
This girl loves to pose, she wanted me to be sure and get the tail.
This one is my favorite.
Faith and Avery at Mt. Olive Trick or Trunk Slime Fest
All the games inside and what did they want to do. Play on the playground.
Mrs. Jackie Brockwell was painting the faces.
Avery got a butterfly.

Faith was so afraid Avery was going to touch her face and mess up her hearts.
Hince the hand up.

At the house waiting on 6:00.
We're running a little behind this year on the punkin carving.
Cake for our Trick or Trunk
First time I've ever done this pan. Turned out pretty cute.
I just wanted to do these this year, I have seen them and they crossed my mind so....
