Just a Little Country Girl

Today is such a beautiful day that I got out and walked around with camera in hand to check out all our critters stirring about. Avery loves the outdoors just as I did when I was little. I got a mixture of pics from some of our animals and her helping feed and just helping, she loves to help her Poppy and her Daddy, who as you know used to be DA but for the last say 6 months he has been Daddy.
So here is Jet Blazer who must have got a wiff of that Watermelon Suave shampoo.
Here she is jumping over the holes Maggie has dug in her pen. Poppa and Craig were fixing the fence.

Gathering eggs with Poppy.

Feeding the chickens

Jet Blazer getting another wiff.

Giving Jet some Lovin.

I just couldn't stand it any longer I had to get out there and get my hands on the new baby.

Too bad he's a he, we only keep the she's.

Just Today.

Just a pic of the hollywood queen on her way to class this morning, she insisted on the glasses.

We were supposed to make these in our GA class tonight but since we have little and big ones right now, I decided to make these ahead of time and then let them give them out. They are supposed to give them to someone and invite them to church. Our missionary this month is Chris Clark and he has an equestrian ministry. So we have a Cowboy Cookie Mix. But we are going to make trail mix in class, it only has 4 ingredients should be a lot easier to work with and lots of FUN!

Finished product

Ave, Me and the new puppies.

These are just a few pics from the last week. Avery in her dress from Mamaw and Papaw, me with this crazy perm I got 3 months ago ( I don't think it is ever gonna loosen up, I would get it cut off but I am scared it will just make it look curlier), and our new babies. Our male MC fathered some pups with Poppy's female Mountain Cur and they just got here, they are 4 days old today.

*SAMBO BODINE*

These are mainly for you Aunt V. This is Sambo our other baby. He is about 4 years old. He is a big ole baby, all he does is walk around crying, except for the occasional torture of a helpless little mouse. He just plays and plays with them before he devours them and leaves what is left on my door mat. Disgusting, sometimes i can't even tell what part it is. Anyway....he is the only one of our cats that doesn't stray at all from home. He knows a good thing when he has it.

The Best little cat

In the summer of 2007, while on a Wednesday night activity with the children from our church, we stopped to get Icee's after attempting to play tennis, turned out to be entirely toooooo hot for that. Anyway.... back to the icees, we pulled up at the Minute Shop over by the zoo and there was the most pitiful looking kitten sitting at the gas pumps that looked not to be more than 4 or 5 weeks old. Well I did something I haven't done in a long time, I picked him up and brought him home. I am severly allergic to cats and can't have them inside but we already had a couple outside, one of which had just recently come up missing, so what's one more. Craig was quite upset at me for bringing him home but needles to say he got over it. Well he will be 2 this June or July and let me tell you he has turned out to be the best little cat ever. Avery can wag that cat whose name is Buddy all over the place and he just lays there. From time to time when he has had enough he will Meow and she knows then that it is time to put him down. He doesn't Meow all the time, he is just a great little addition to our family. So the other day she had him in for just a brief moment and I had to get some pics with his crazy relaxed self in her lap wrapped up in a baby blanket.

Snaggletooth

Showing what she got from the tooth fairy!
Her and her daddy in the hot tub.
She should have been a mermaid, she loves the water.
Avery and her Papaw.
Avery and Mamaw

Okay, we just got back from IL spending a late Christmas with my parents. We had a wonderful time and so much enjoyed just being together. We had quite an unexpected experience while we were gone. Avery told us Thursday morning that her tooth was broke and we looked and said no baby it's not, and that was that. Well then Friday morning while eating breakfast she said it again, my teeth are broke. Well Craig stuck his finger in there to feel and lo and behold her first tooth was loose, and I'm talking just before coming out. Later on in the day we were at Sam's hitting some of the after Christmas sales and Craig pushed the tooth forwards once and backwards once and it came right out. I can not believe she has already lost a tooth, she just turned 5, too soon for me. Here are a few pics from our Christmas with my parents and of course snaggletooth herself.
