I stole this picture from my sister, Jacque's, blog. I didn't know this picture existed and it's not very often we get a siblings picture.


Last night was the Bakersfield Bowl Game for playoffs. It was VERY EXCITING!!! The score was 21-21 with 2 seconds left in the game. BC had possession of the ball and kicked a goal over the bar to get 3 points and win 24-21!!!

Thanksgiving!!

I have had a cold all week (thought I was over it on Tuesday, over-did-it, now it is ten times worse!) So I have been so ready to be done with Thanksgiving, I can't taste the food anyways, lets just get on with Christmas!!!

But today I have been humbled and have been thinking of the reasons why we celebrate Thanksgiving and would like to post a few of the things I am truly grateful for:

*My wonderful family, I have the most awesome husband and children who are such a blessing and joy to me.
*My faith, this year has been especially rough on us financially and I know I would have lost it on several occasions if I didn't have my faith that I have a Father in Heaven who loves me and is watching over me.
*My Country, I am so grateful to the veterans who fought for our freedom that we currently have and especially to those who are *NOW FIGHTING for MY FREEDOM!! THANK YOU!!!!
*The Gospel, I am so glad to know that my family is eternal and that I will one day see my grandpa and grandma and Josie and Jonny again one day

Okay....now I am in tears. I have really been missing people lately and I am so grateful for the people who are here right now and for the time that we get to spend together (working, talking, laughing) I am grateful for so much in my life. And so, now I am really looking forward to this week and for the opportunity to celebrate and remember all of the things I am grateful for!!

Yesterday we took some family pictures. We got some of Madelynn that are SO GOOD!!! She has been very anti-camera most of her life and now all of the sudden she is a Diva.....I LOVE IT!!! Look especially at the hip-stickin-out pose....priceless!!!

Here are more pictures from Halloween. We had an awesome time!! BC had a homecoming game on halloween and the tailgaters had trick-o-treating for the kids who were going to the game, and they were awesome!! My kids got SO MUCH CANDY!!



Ben had an awesome game. Two touchdowns in the first half, one was a 30 yard pass which was caught in the in-zone. He doesn't normally receive passes, so it was very exciting!!

Hair cut and Piggies

Madelynn got her first official haircut. It is SO CUTE!!! And Katherine's hair is now long enough to put into piggies. She is starting to leave her hair-do's alone now which is really nice when we go places, she doesn't totally look like an orphan!!

Katherine's Shower

A few mornings ago as I was getting ready to get into the shower, Madelynn came to me with a request that pulled me away from the shower. It would only take a second, so I let the water get warm. When I got back, this is what I found.....
