Look who's two!

It has been sometime since I posted. I hope to get back to this some day! With working it just seems like the last thing to do. Anyways on to the post.

This cute cat of ours, Mazzie, just turned two! She was so ill last year and almost died! (Had a blood transfusion to survive and we lost her brother, Mugsbie, all of a sudden and with no real reason) that it is amazing that she is still here! We love this cat! We are glad she is still in our lives. Happy 2nd birthday Mazzie and here is to many many more!

The hot cranky lady that is your owner!

The air conditioner decided to break on us. We already had the small issue last month of the main water pipe to the house that broke and flooded some of the basement. I think the house is just wanting to fall apart all at once. We all tried to sleep down in the basement but well it was hot down there too. Matt W. came over and looked at it for us and cleaned a bunch of stuff up. He was great! He really knows his stuff! We have it were it is blowing again, but are going to have to have someone come out and service it. Thanks Matt! We appreciate you!! My house thanks you too :)

She can see!!

Ellie got her glasses! She had the same kind of moment I did when I first got mine. The optical place was in a mall when I got my glasses and I walked out and everything was so bright and clear! The stores you could read the sign. Ellie had the same experience. Kind of funny; two peas in a pod. She looks adorable! She is taking good care of her new glasses and she loves she can see. My cute angel girl is growing up!

Time for Glasses.....

We have waited a year to take Ellie back to the Eye doctor. I took her in on Tuesday, and yes she needs glasses. It wasn't a very big surprise, I knew she needed them. She had one eye that was an issue and now she has two. We went Friday and picked out a pair of glasses. I will post a pic in a few weeks when get them in. John and I also got our eyes checked and the saga began for a new pair of glasses for me. John was just getting new lenses. I, on the other hand, need BIFOCALS!!! Can you believe that???? I am to young I say!!! I had a really hard time finding any thing and it took me two days to come up with a pair that I hope work! Not thrilled about this one at all!. Apparently, with my glasses off, I am legally blind! Yes you heard me BLIND!! I am still a little surprised by the whole thing. Pictures to come of our new glasses..... at least I can see with them on!

4TH OF JULY!!!

We had a very low key 4th of July this year. I didn't work to have family or friends over, so it was just our little family. We had a BBQ and we played a game of apples to apples. We took the kids to see this Pirate move (ya it was so good I can't remember the name of it, ya don't waste your money!) it was by the creators of Wallace and Grommet. The girls got pops, they love them!. We went to the Jr high and watched the fireworks.  We did go around the table and ask the kids what they loved about being in America. I love this country and I am very proud of the people who serve the country to make us free. Thank you Soldiers! We love America! Happy 4th of July!!!

Flip Flop Classic

Ellie is loving her gymnastics class. She was able to attend the Flip Flop Classic. She was able to be judged on how well she is doing her routines and we were able to see what she has been learning. She was just put into level 3. I was really pleased with how well she is doing. She did all of her routines by herself. She was the only one that remembered them all. She was able to get 4 first place ribbons! I think she was supper excited about that!

 I was able to take the day off of work and go with Ellie on her field trip. She really wasn't going to go without me. We went to the Clark Planetarium. We looked around at the displays and then we were able to watch the Cardboard Rocket movie.

We went and ate lunch together and then Ellie went back to school. I was glad I was able to spend sometime with her. She is growing up so fast!
