Sundays.

Last Sunday we finally had time for Gunner to blow out his candles and eat his cake. His birthday was 3 days before. Our church is at 9am here, so after church we take naps and hang out at the house all day. Dinner is around 4 and then we go to our friends house and get together each Sunday night with them at 6. It makes for a long relaxing day.
This is what the boys do...We do not own a Wii or an Xbox , time wasters, but they each have their own DS and they play a game together on them. Notice the socks.
This was last Sunday.
Dad gives Remy horse rides around our "huge" house!
And today after dinner we ate our ice cream cones for dessert out by the pool , notice the socks again!
Yes the days attire after the church clothes are ripped off consists of mis-matched basketball clothes and the church socks, no wonder they have holes in them!
I was trying to get a good picture of at least one child, no cooperation! But Tate looks pretty funny in this last one!
On a side note, Gunner passed the sacrament for his first time today and got to collect fast offerings. Cade was quite confused that he had to drive Gunner around for the fast offerings instead of giving him the keys to the truck and telling him to drive himself like Baylor did in Mexico!Posted by Picasa

Tidbits of information .

As I was running this morning with Tate at his school wellness "walk" I kept thinking about little things we do in our family that are either odd or I want to remember. So I thought Id write them down.
-Tate is super competitive, not outwardly but he has a drive that makes him want to be the best. Just like this morning it was a walk but he had to beat everyone so he ran for 1/2 hour straight.
-Remy is a BEAR to get dressed in the morning. She is SO particular about what she wears and her shoes have to match perfectly! And in her closet right now she has 36 pairs of shoes, in the mud room 4 and in Mexico I have no idea how many.
-Gunner would wear just underwear around all day if he could. Im sure he would wear nothing if it was allowed.
-Baylor doesnt like to eat. He wont eat breakfast or dinner, he does eat in the afternoon though. Its a fight to get food down him!
-My kids dont eat cake, ice cream, cookies or that kind of junkl...if i make it it will sit there till it gets thrown out. For special occasions and birthdays they will eat dessert though. Candy is another story though...it will get eaten!
-The boys favorite snack is potato chips with valentina salsa on them.
-We dont watch TV much except for sports, and man vs. food. The kids will watch the outdoor shows occasionally and phineas and ferb.
-I would wear yoga pants and tshirts everyday if I could.
-My 3 boys have NEVER fought. Remy stirs things up but its all for fun!
-Gunner doesnt have to try at anything, and he is VERY self motivated.
-Gunner throws up every time I make him eat green beans or zuchinni.
-I like to be at everything my kids are doing, I would go to school with them all day if I could.
-We LOVE to go to movies. And Cade and I watch previews of movies each night in bed on our ipads.
-Tate likes to take LONG baths.
-I would rather read a book than do almost anything.
-Tate gives really good, meaningful family prayers.
-Remy remembers everything.
-Baylor is so level headed and doesnt have one ounce of contention in him, he doesnt get mad. And that makes Cade mad! :)
-I have a hard time doing nothing, I dont relax easily. and Ive found I cannot sit until the house is spotless, except for my closet. My closet is the one place that I can close the door and leave the mess for later.

Weekend in pictures.

We have had a full week , full of lots of UpS and DoWnS that is! We will focus on the ups of the weekend though! Baylor had a game, actually all three boys had games but I only took one picture this weekend.

The boys and I headed on over to Silver City, NM to see the Lobos play a football game. Cousins and friends were there. We had a great time!

I miss these cute cheerleader girls!

Jacksons always fun to be around!

Uncle Brandon is the Lobo coach this year. He has made such a change to the program. I am very impressed with what he has done. They looked good and played hard!

Gunner turned 12 on Thursday and today
Gunner received the priesthood and was ordained a deacon by his Dad . Hes an amazing boy! In his game yesterday he made 2 TDs and so many other great plays!

Remy has learned how to read in just 4 short weeks in Kinder!

And Tate was a monster in his game yesterday! He made so many tackles I lost count, and was just 2 yards shy of making a TD! Lets hope for another week mainly full of UpS!

Happy 12th gunner!

Today my second boy is 12 years old! Wow time goes by fast. He was such a cute little bug looking baby! Gunner has seemed older than his years for his whole life. He brings such joy and intellectualness into our home! His passion has been the Colts football team for as long as I can remember, and this year because he wears a uniform to school everyday he got another colts article of clothing. The socks. We love you Gunner. You are so talented, smart, good looking and such a good boy! We are excited also for you to receive the Priesthood this week! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

For Posterity and some funny quotes.

Today I decided to have the family enjoy the musical "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers." The husband said, "you actually rented this from Netflix" , the boy said "can you imagine if they tried to release a movie like this now", and the daughter said "This is so old, its like the '90s" . Needless to say they all watched it and enjoyed it, atleast till I turned it off! I especially like Cade singing along with Adam!

On Friday Baylor decided he needed a haircut. So I took him over to a hair shop and dropped him off so i could run everybody else everywhere. I told him to tell the guy to use a 3 because he didnt need it too short just a trim. So I go to pick him up and I am suprised to see him with a buzz. apparently he told the guy to do a 3 over his whole head, not just the sides. This is why kids need moms! Poor Bay , but his hair will grow back. I took this picture a few weeks ago when he had hair.

I LOVE Sundays because its the day of REST, and I get to lay around after church. Its so fun to have all 4 kids hanging out with me on the bed doing nothing!

The weekend.

This is now what our weekends consist of, 3 sometimes 4 foorball games! Its awesome! These are pictures from the first games a couple weeks ago. Remy is a cheerleader for Tates team. She now goes around the house yelling her cheers, doing her moves and tumbling down the hall. She is the youngest on her squad by 2 years, but since Im coaching she was able to do it!

The run out for the team. With music and all! Everything is BIGGER in Texas, especially when you play for the TRIBE! (if you look closely I am in this picture)

This is Tate, this day he was #11 and his name was Serviano because the jerseys got messed up. I love this picture of him standing above all the players ready to squash his opponent!

The halftime performance.

Tate LOVES football !

immediately after this game Gunner had a game, again because of the jersey mess up he was Fellows #26. The captains went for the coin toss.

G is a natural athlete. He plays the WHOLE game on offense, defense and special teams. Needless to say he was exhausted when it was over!

This is now the Franklin HS freshman game Baylor is 14 and Braxton Hatch is 5. His shoulder is finally feeling good now and we hope this week we dont have any sickness or injuries!

Tate seems to find friends wherever he goes, this is at Bays game. One of the boys from his team has a brother who also plays on the freshman team. If you can read the back of their shirts it says " The Pain of Discipline, or the Pain of Regret." Thats their team motto. I CANT WAIT until next weekend and more games. This is what life is about, watching your kids do what they love!
