Today was our 3rd year wedding anniversary and it was a busy, but great day! I went to work this morning, while Ryan and Maddox hung out for a few hours. Then Ryan did some work and a few errands and he even surprised me with a piece of chocolate cake and flowers! While Ryan was out and about Maddox and I did a bunch of laundry from our trip- so happy to have that done. Then Ryan and I went to dinner at Spark Restaurant in Provo, while Maddox was baby sat by Blake & Julie, and Keith & Nathan ;) Our dinner was seriously DELICIOUS and let me tell you, I don't say that very often about food. Spark has gourmet burgers, fun Mock-tails and super yummy desserts. Normally when a restaurant advertises "gourmet" I'm a little weary because I don't want it to be stuffy and have a bunch of funky things on the menu. This place had good reviews so we decided to check it out, and I am so glad I did! We will be going back for sure! Thank you to blake, julie, keith and nathan for watching maddox while we celebrated our 3 years! Can you believe this was our first real date in 10 months!... going to mcdonalds in lake arrowhead while carolyn watched maddox doesn't count :)

This is Ryans southwest burger, he got american Kobe, which he's been wanting to try, he loved his burger. We didn't get a picture of my food but I just got an americana burger with truffle parmesan fries. We have been wanting to try something with truffle oil for forever, but don't normally eat at restaurants that serve it so when I saw it on the menu, I had to try it. The flavor was unlike anything I've tasted, now we want to try it on something else. This was seriously the best restaurant cheeseburger I have ever had in my life. the meat was really good quality, the bun was perfect and everything was really fresh. We also decided to get a dessert sampler which had chocolate mousse, passion fruit cheesecake and kiwi panna cotta. It was SO good!

This past weekend we went to Lake Tahoe for a family reunion with my Dads family. Neither of us had been there(well apparently I have, but I was too young to remember). I was pretty excited to go because I like going to new places and to see family, especially the family members I haven't seen in a long time. Ryan and I decided to camp for a couple nights since we hadn't been camping together ever and I don't think I had been since my sister Carly got engaged... 9 years ago! Anyways we drove through the night with my cousin Emily and got there between 4:30-5am it worked out well for Maddox even though we were all pretty tired in the morning. We hung out during the day, went to the lake but it was pretty chilly and we weren't brave enough to go in the water, but we had a good time hanging out and catching up, then we had family dinner with everyone and that was so good and fun! saturday was more hanging out, family pictures, another family dinner and some super fun minute to win it games. The games were fun to play and hilarious to see my aunts and uncles, Dad and Jeanne get into as well :) then sunday morning it was a farewell breakfast and time to pack up and go. We really enjoyed seeing all the family and missed the ones that couldn't make it. Tahoe was a great location and we hope to go back soon!
