2nd Birthday

Today was Savannah's 2nd Birthday.  She woke up wanting to eat some breakfast, but as soon as she saw her presents under the Christmas tree, she forgot all about breakfast.  She tore into her first present, which was a small stroller and a baby doll.  She loves pushing the stroller and taking baby for walks up and down the driveway.  Her second present was a little car that we can push her in.  She loves to sit in that while we push her all around.
At noon we had a small birthday party and invited our neighbors and friends over for pizza, cake, and ice cream.  The weather was nice, the food was good, and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.  Savannah had a great birthday and we are very blessed to have her in our lives.  Happy Birthday Savannah!!!

Mormon Helping Hands service project

Today we had a Mormon Helping Hands service project at the Hau'ula beach park.  Savannah loved walking along the beach and picking up trash.  She is such a great helper and has also been very helpful around the house.  On the way home, we stopped at 7-11 and picked up some treats and discovered that she really loves Slurpies.

Savannah loves the ocean and loves to feel the breeze through her long, curly locks.  This is one of her favorite places to come and relax after a long, stressful day.

Easter Egg Hunt Party

Savannah went on her first Easter egg hunt today.  We had an Easter Egg Hunt Party at the Suguturaga's house.  They first colored several dozen eggs and Savannah managed to die her entire hand by dipping it in the cup.  As the adults were hiding eggs outside, the kids were inside stuffing their faces with hot dogs.  I didn't count how many Savannah had, but throughout the night, she ate hot dogs, chips, tuna sandwiches, and drinks.  She has a healthy appetite.  It was fun to see her run from egg to egg and she spotted each one.  She is very kind-hearted and was taking eggs out of her own basket and putting them in the baskets of the other kids.  She had a great day!!

"Savannah Smiles"

Today Savannah and Teruko were eating lunch at Subway and Savannah smiled and said "Hi" to this older gentleman who was also eating his lunch.  He looked up and smiled and returned the nice gesture with a $10 bill for Savannah. That was a surprise!!  She has always been so friendly to everyone and it is fun to see people's reactions when they are just passing by and a cute little girl reaches out and says "hi." It seems to brighten their day.  Now that she knows she can earn cash, she's been doing it a lot more lately.
