Play time with friends

We went to a great park with some friends recently. It is called Clemyjontri Park and is designed to be accessible for all kids. The ramps and pathways are wide enough for wheelchairs and everything was big and bright. Luke had a great time and it was especially fun because we met up with some friends, too! The school bus was a big hit, of course, as was the airplane. Luke liked the carousel for the first half, but then wasn't too thrilled. It was a funpark, and it's great to see people designing spaces for all children to be able to enjoy no matter their abilities.

Luke loves Music!

Luke loves "Muse." That's music in Luke language. He plays the guitar and piano, and sometimes both at the same time. I know, talented, right? He'll have one hand strumming the guitar and the other hitting the piano keys. He sings along to the songs on the radio, too. He's pretty good at "Shattered" by OAR. His favorite kid's songs to sing are "The wheels on the bus," "Pop goes the weasel," and "A,B,Cs."Here's a video of his own composition, "Bus." He'll also do songs on request...think same melody and guitar , but substitute the word - Mom, Dad, Meema (one of his friends), truck, boat, etc.

Air and Space Musuem

My cousins, Cody and Cheney, came to visit during the early part of June. Luke and I met up with them, Colin, and Grandma at the Udvar-Hazy air and space museum. It was a huge hangar where they now store...air planes! It is an extension of the Smithsonian museum up in DC. Luke really loved all of the air planes and the free space to run around in. He was a trooper. It was fun to see "Transformers" after having been there!
