Preschool for Ness

Vanessa started preschool in the beginning of October.  So far, she loves every second and asks every day if she is going to school.  I feel lucky that we were able to get her in so fast.  After some testing, we learned that she is behind where she should be and has somewhat of a learning disability.  We are hoping that by putting her in early, and catching it early, she will catch up fast and get the help she needs.  She goes to school two times a week. Good luck my little nessie poo!  I hope school is a positive experience for you.

THE DEER HUNT.

This year for the deer hunt, Steve had to take ALL of us.  I remember getting to miss school and go camping for the deer hunt when I was little and I LOVED it.  Wanted to give my kiddos the same opportunity.  The weather was beautiful.  Just a little cold, but nothing a fire and sweatshirt couldnt fix.  We camped with some friends and Marti and her kids came up during the days.  We had a blast!  We ended up with no deer, but made some great memories that will hopefully last a lifetime.  Thanks hun, for sacraficing your hunt to make memories.  You earned some serious brownie points in my book.

Tyler and Trace practicing thier shooting,  just in case they see the big one.

These two are the same age and are great friends.  I'm pretty sure they have a "crush" on each other as well.

Tay and Ireland chillin by the fire.

Nessa enjoyed every second.
Taylor was a great help with the little kids.

It wouldnt be a complete trip if you didnt have the big hunting stories.

My Baxter.  For those of you who dont know, I. LOVE. THIS. DOG.

Headed out for a ride on the wheeler.
I love this picture.  Tay was just chillin spending time with dad while he put the new batteries in his truck.

I love this picture even more, becuse wherever Steve is, Max and Bax are close by.

BAR D

Back in September we went over to Durango to watch the Bar D Wranglers perform.  We spent some time at the train museum, explored the shops in downtown Durango, and did some school shopping.  Best of all? We got to spend time with family!

FUN AT THE POOL

These pictures make me miss summer already! We spent many many MANY hours at the pool this summer.  My kids loved the new pool they built here in blanding.  We wish they had an indoor pool too!   We cant wait until next year.

KINDERGARTEN.

We went to school today, my little boy and I.
I worried all through breakfast, afraid that he might cry.
I watched him walk away with pride, and I was quite alone.
The tears I thought would surely be his, were indeed my very own.

My baby started kindergarten.  He has been waiting for this day to come forever.  He thinks he is BIG STUFF.  He has been so so excited.  I am adjusting to him being gone everyday.  I love having him home in the mornings.  Next year I know will be awful.  For now,  I will enjoy every second.  I hope
you have a wonderful year mister T.

BACK TO SCHOOL.

Around our house we were NOT ready for school to start.  Summer seemed so so short to me.  We wanted more time swimming, playing at the park, camping, sleeping in, staying up late, and eating snow cones! Regardless, the first day of school came.  Tay got to eat on the "special plate" and have her favorite breakfast, french toast.  I think Tay was pretty excited, although I could sense a little bit of anxiety in her.  After the rough year last year, I think she didn't know what to expect.  Now, after a month of school she has really enjoyed second grade.  I hope the positive stays for the whole year.  AND we are making some serious progress.  She didnt have a tantrum when I tried to take her picture!  Awesome Tay Jay!

BOULDER. PART 3.

Here is the last round of pics.  Just some from one of our many fishing trips.  We were gone for five days and it seriously was FABULOUS! We will for definitely be doing that again.

Had to take a picture of tay taking a nap, because it doesn't happen EVER.

If this doesn't scream hillbillys, I dont know what does.  I love it.

The scenery was GEORGEOUS.

This picture is terrible, but I wanted to put it in because Nessa LOVED helping Kirk drive the jeep!

HHMMMM.... what can i use from dad's tackle box?

Steve did some float tubing.

T dropped one of his bobbers in the lake.  Luckily Kendall was there to help him get it out.

make-shift balance beam for Tay.
