Picture overload! {{{ Epic edition }}}

I uploaded a bunch of pictures a long while ago...and rediscovered them last week.  I probably thought I would load them while they were loading well and write about it all later (I guess that's now).  Without further ado:
This was from almost a year ago now!  Sam would stuff his little chubby fists under his chin when he got excited.  The only picture I managed to get of the pose had his eyes closed, still super cute.

Sam's beginning in mess making.  He's really progressed in this area since then.  He is also a very good helper so I guess it balances out.

Enjoying the first spring day of last year.  Looking forward to carrying on the tradition this year when it finally warms up...

Every once in a while we get a Justice catalog in the mail.  James will probably be embarrassed by this someday.

More from our trip to Idaho in June:  Flying on the plane, the car show downtown, swinging at the park, and lots of fun with cousins!

Balloon swords courtesy of Aunt Courtney.

Selfies: My hair is wavy now.  Thanks to mommy hormones for that one.  It was convenient in the summer to say the least.

Sam is such a good eater (comparatively anyway).  He loves to eat and knows what he wants!

Playing at the splash park with some friends:

I came in to get Sam up from his nap one day to find that James beat me to the punch.  They had a fun time, but for the sake of our poor old crib it has not happened again.

Sam really liked to squish little ants. (???)
James throwing a tantrum.  He thinks this picture is funny now, but let me tell you there wasn't anything funny about it when it happened.
Next few: just messing around with the boys at home.

James got to go to his first ever movie at the theater with Daddy.  He loved it!  He has since had another "date" to see Frozen.  Fun outings, fun memories.
Surprise!  Those things that came up on the side of the house that never did anything, then dried up and died decided one day to put up some flowers.  They were very pretty, I'm interested to see if they come back this year.

A little project to brighten our porch :).  And an impromptu sensory table to entertain James during said project.

"Peekaboo"...and another mess.

Uncle Kendal came home from his mission in Russia at the end of September so we loaded up and drove out to welcome him back!  A great time was had by all, even with the long drive and cooler-than-anticipated temperatures.

Me with both of my beautiful grandmothers.  So special!
Playing at the park with Tio Kendal.  He sure does love his nephews and they love him too!

One evening Grandpa and Kendal took the boys and I up a canyon North of Malad (I can't think of the name).  Anyhoo, it was GORGEOUS!!!  James wanted to see animals since we were going to the "forest" and on our way out we happened to see some deer.  He was sooooo happy!

On temple square our last day in Idaho/Utah.  It was so fun and we got to see the huge fountain thanks to a kind man who worked in the control room and a tenacious grandma who wanted to make her grandsons' day.  The stars definitely aligned for us!

And that takes us into Fall.  We grew tons of little jack pumpkins and had a fun picking them and decorating with them.  Fall is a fun season and we sure cherish it around here with winter on the horizon.  You never know when the last outside playtime will be.

My first attempt at canning: Garden Salsa
It will be better next time, but I haven't died from eating it yet even if it isn't the tastiest salsa I've ever had.

THE END (for now)
