Lawn Update (as requested by mom)

I've spent the last couple of weeks watering dirt, and for a good cause. My lawn is making great progress. Here is a time line of my yard.

After one Month:I'm soon going to have to mow! The bushes in the back by the patio have also bloomed out nicely. I'll take a picture of them and post it later.

Sho Nuff

So one day we had a movie party with a bunch of people from the branch. We were forced to watch "The Last Dragon" (I think that's what it's called.) It was possibly the worst movie I have ever seen. Anyway, some girls from the branch had a city league basketball team called "The Glow", inspired by this movie. For the last game of the season Jeff decided to bring the necessary supplies to dress up like Sho Nuff, one of the main characters from the movie. He talked Jason, our EQP into putting on the outfit with him after the game. They didn't wear the outfit for long, but long enough for me to get a picture of them....actually I think I'm the only one who had the privilege of seeing them dressed up. Lucky Me!! And lucky you....I had my camera with me. It would have been better if they would have had the wigs to go with the outfit, but oh well.

Nice vs. Mean

Is not being nice the same thing as being mean, or can you not be nice and not be mean too? What do you think?

Dinner

Not sure why I'm posting this, but I was feeling a little creative at dinner and decided to plate my food nicely instead of just piling it on. I was pretty amazed by this 30 seconds of creativity!

Wahoo!!!

I came home from school to a pleasant surprise. My grass is finally starting to show!! All my watering is paying off. I'm so excited. Now I need to go price lawn mowers.

Visiting Teaching Brings Blessings

I actually did my visiting teaching this month...most of it anyway. One of the ladies I visit is the branch presidents wife. While chatting she said "Oh, would you like any raspberry bushes for your new house?" OF COURSE!! Susan's got a plum tree, I now have raspberries...I can already taste the raspberry plum jam. They say that I might not get many off of them this year, but next year is sure to be a good year.

Visiting the Clarks

I made a trip to Rexburg Sunday for the first Clark BBQ. It was lots of fun. While we were sitting in the house, Ethan comes running out of the bedroom with a pair of underwear on his head. And Kevin close behind making sure we all knew that he did that to Ethan....the bad part.................the underwear was dirty!! I wanted to take a picture so bad, but Susan and Darren made them take it off and at least get clean underwear. So these pictures are a reenactment, but you still get the idea. The other picture is of momma and baby Jake. He just woke up from a nap so he didn't want to pose for a picture. Notice the stitches above the left eye, and the purple area between the eyes.

Splurge!!

My friends have been talking about going biking all summer long since they all have bikes and I didn't, so I splurged the other day and bought a bike. I have to keep up with the Jones' after all!!
It's been lots of fun. I joined a gym, so I usually go lift for a while, and then we go on a bike ride. It's fun. This weekend we're going to Herriman to go biking. I hope the snow has melted!!

For Mom

Mom's been begging me to post a picture of the kitchen blinds. I told her she should just come up and see them, but she didn't want to do that. Hmm....gas $3.00/gal. I wonder why?
