1980's

Check out this engagement picture of Wayne and I taken in May of 1986--21 1/2 years ago. Wow, great hair, huh? Madi scanned this picture to put on Wayne's facebook page, he's on the 53rd ward facebook group. He likes to keep in touch with the students at the university.

Thankfulness

I am so grateful for all the blessings I have been given. I have such a wonderful family, mine and Wayne's. We are so blessed. It is amazing that we get along well with both sides of the family. We don't just get along well, we love to be together. That is a blessing that cannot be bought and paid for, which makes it even more valuable. We love the D* family and the M* family and are so grateful for the love and support we receive from all of you.

The D* Squad

We just received some of our family pictures back today. I don't think we have had pictures taken of our family for about 5 years. I sure love these darling children and my wonderful, busy, funny husband.

MADI IS ALMOST 18!

Here are some of Madi's Senior Pictures. I can't believe she will be 18 on Sunday. Wow! That went by fast. I am so grateful for her. I will write some more about her later this week.

The end of the LHS soccer season.

Hillary made the newspaper! The Herald Journal put it on the sports page. She's a jumper!!

"Daily" Bloggings

My friend, Shirlene pointed out to me that the name of my blog is Daily Bloggings. The obvious next comment is, "Hello, there is no DAILY blogging happening on your blog." Maybe I should change the name of my blog to: Every Month or so Bloggings.
Well, maybe I'll change the name of my blog after a few more daily bloggings.

HOMECOMING 2007

Madeline became the Homecoming Queen for Logan High in October! She came home from school on Wednesday and said, "Hey, guess what? I'm in the Homecoming Royalty, I can't believe it!" She had a great homecoming week and at one point said, "I don't want this week the end." And then towards the end of the week said, "I can't wait for next week so I can get back to normal." She looked like a Cinderella and we are so proud (I mean, pleased) with the wonderful person she has become.
The pictures above right are of Madi's goofy and fun Senior buddies covered with paint after painting the street for Homecoming week and the "L" on Main Street, where anyone affiliated or loyal in any way to Logan High, must honk loudly as their car passes over the top of the "L" on Main Street. Notice Madi's name carefully painted around the circle.

BRANDON'S BAPTISM DAY - SEPT. 2007

Brandon was baptized on September 1, 2007. It was a wonderful day. Many of our family were there and Aunt Marian talked about baptism and Grandma Jody gave a talk on the Holy Ghost. Grandma Colleen gave the opening prayer and Grandpa Jim gave the closing prayer. It means to a lot to a sweet little 8-year old boy to have most of your family come and celebrate your baptism day with you. It shows the importance of the ordinance of baptism and the gospel in our lives. I am so grateful for wonderful family and friends that are such a great source of strength and love for my little family.

If you ever lack for entertainment at your home, get an apple computer. It's worth hours of fun and lots of laughter. Here are Austin and Hillary and Madi and their goofy selves.

Friday, August 10, 2007

Our sweet 16 year old niece, (now 17) Hailey came to stay with us last week. We took some great pictures of them and they made some shadowboxes for them.

CRAZY, BUSY SUMMER

Obviously, I am still learning how to blog and I am highly suspicious of the word "learning" for apparent reasons. These are pictures of the our fabulous students at a FHE softball game, and the rest are from Chad and Abbi's wedding: Austin, Wayne & Brandon and Hillary, Caytee, Natalie and Madi.

A WEEKEND AWAY AND A WEDDING!

By the way, I am still learning to blog. I can't make these pictures go where I want them to. Sorry!

Spent the weekend in Spokane with my wonderful husband, Wayne. We stayed with his brother, Bob and excellent family. (at left)

They have a darling dog named Pookie. (below)

Oh yeah, and we went to the wedding of our fabulous nephew, Will and his new bride, Jessica. Aren't they so cute? They are so in love. It was a weekend enjoyed by all.

LEARNING HOW TO BLOG

I don't know how to turn this picture around, I think you have to do it before you upload it. I'll fix it later, I'm sure Natalie won't mind.

I am figuring out this blogging thing one step at a time. It is really fun to read everyone's blog and fun to collect my thoughts and post pictures. (It's a lengthy process to collect my thoughts, unfortunately.) Eventually, it will not take as much time.
Our family had a great Mother's Day weekend. Mom, Carol, Neal, Chad, Abby, Crystal, Dale, Natalie, Preston, Logan, Julia, Chris Dodd and friend, Cassandra and of course, my little family - Wayne, Madi, Hillary, Austin and Brandon and I were all in attendance for dinner. It was fun and delicious!! This is my niece Crystal's, daughters, Julia and Natalie (does that make them my great-nieces?--is "nieces" a word?)

SPRING BREAK IN LAS VEGAS AND ANAHEIM

We spent the first part of our Spring Break in Las Vegas at Hillary's soccer tournament (they won!) and the second part at Disneyland and California Adventure with Brent, Marian and Michael. We had a wonderful time, although my feet are killing me!
