I still blog when I just feel that I need to express my feelings and write down the revelations God has given me so that I don't get drown by the waves and lightnings but when the storm hits, I can be like Jesus, sleeping soundly in the rocky ship having faith in God that everything is still under His control.
I am preaching to myself.
The self that is demotivated and small, but God sees me as mighty for He chose me for this task.
What task? To build what I've been given. For He has prepared me for such a season as this? But this self still wonders if HE has prepared me for this, then why am I struggling? All the mistakes, all the failures all the challenges, all the things that could possibly go wrong, all the things that went wrong, all the only if, and even if and still fail and so much negativity. And when we say where is God in this? Where is Jesus?
He is not here, he is not in the death, in the negativity in the failures. For He has risen. And I need to go to Galilee , away from these negative thoughts ---- there I will see Him. I need to move from the south (where Jerusalem is) and move up to the north (where Galilee is). (Matt 28:1-10)
I am learning to be firm in the storm, will I let this storm now shake me? Never. Why, for I know if My God is for me who can be against me.
Breakthroughs are hard to come by. Who says breakthroughs are easy.
When Jesus was tempted in the desert, He was challenged to doubt his identity - satan said If you are the Son of God TWICE ---- didn't Jesus knew who he was? Of course He did. But yet Satan questioned it, Jesus counter it with what God would do, His heart. It meant, I AM the Son of God, even if I didn't do what you ask me to.
so to these questions:
If you are a lawyer then you shouldn't have made these mistakes - if I made these mistakes then I'm not a good lawyer, but it doesn't change the fact that I am still a good lawyer, mistakes happen and we need to learn from it.
If you are a faithful builder, you would not fall for these minor challenges
No i would not fall i just would not fall.
Jesus help me i need you to come clear my mind again. set me on the right train of thoughts again.

This man
This man is my gift from God.
This man has challenged me, stuck with me, encourage me, prayed with me and set me on to a whole new level in my faith.
This man showed me the true meaning of carrying the cross and living for Christ every single day.
This man showered me with so much love and support and showed me true love, like how Christ would put our needs before himself.
This man taught me to be firm and have faith in God in whatever that I do.
This man is unshaken, a rock to the rock that I am.
This man has confidence that is so firm I know it comes from the Lord.
This man is incredible because his heart is completely sold out to Christ above. His heart is a reflection of his obedience to obey the word of God in everything he does.
This man does not just talk, but he walks the talk.
This man is not afraid of admitting his wrong, but apologises when he knows his mistakes.
This man strives for the best and challenges himself to give his best to God, his family and friends.
This man.
This man.
I call him a man because he knows who he is in Christ. I call him a man because he offers his woman strength whenever he can. I call him a man because he willingly sacrifices his time, energy and whatever he can to see his woman grow. I call him a man because he fights, he fights to gain his portion, he fights to gain his inheritance, he fights to win his woman's heart, he fights for his family's salvation.
He knows what it takes to get there, to be successful. He knows the price to be paid, and he will willingly pay it whenever he is required to. He knows the value of humility and strives hard to only please God in all he thinks, says and does.
He knows a lot of things, yet like Paul I know indeed, he counts everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus our Lord. For his sake, he has and willingly will suffer the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that he may gain Christ. Phillipians 3:8
This is Glenn. Indeed.... a man after God's own heart.

Let my life revolve around Christ
I guess I've abandoned this blog for quite some time now. But this blog has markings of the different seasons I went through in the past and it is a place where I write down things that I've been convicted about and that I feel will be a blessing to others as they read them, apart from that it is my personal sanctuary and diary of rants and what nots when I need to.
January 2014 marks the beginning of a new year. More than that a new season that I've been entering into. I'm transitioning into adulthood as I've been writing about lately.
God is really dealing with the core of my character, the moulding and sharpening of my weaknesses. Running a law firm albeit not on your own but being a partner with only a year over experience can be daunting sometimes. But I find it a challenge, an honour that I would have such an opportunity, and I know God already promised me that He will send people to help me along the way - and He certainly did.
I get lost sometimes in just the everyday day to day work. But God has been gracious in reminding me of what's important and the focus for this year.
Execution is key. Putting down the dreams and vision God gave us (my dad and I) for this firm into black and white and later executing it is vital for the Firm to move in the direction God wants to take us. I'm learning to take one step at a time but at times I can be very impatient asking whether I am too slow in doing the thing I need to do or that things need to be moving faster than it should be now.
Prayer is key. I know and admit that I've not been praying very much for the firm and I'm learning to take ownership still of the things God has placed in my hands.
Renewal is key. That in our walk, there will be times when we grow cold or dry and we need to be renewed in the mind, spirit and body. To not neglect that alone time with God, to make it a point to sit at His feet, to make time, to not get distracted.
To walk by faith and not by sight.
To live in the present, don't worry about the future, keep dreaming and dream big, keep focus.
To not only know the acts of God but know His ways also.
To not let my heart be hardened.
To be reminded that Jesus is the centre of all things; my life.

The simple key
The simple key is this:
Fix the attitude, it will fix the heart, it will then fix the rest of the mess.
Ask myself 2 questions everytime:
1. What is asked or expected of you?
2. Whether you can give your 100% of it?
And the goal is to achieve that and give more than that.

Resilience
Character building season.
I need to remember the little things. It is the little things that will build my character. If I have dealt with my little things, then I will not easily be shaken.
I need to remember the little things. It is the little things that will build my character. If I have dealt with my little things, then I will not easily be shaken.
Take ownership of the things God has place in front of me.
No fear of making mistakes, perhaps this is the price I am to pay, pay it now, price is still
cheap.
Be resilient. Take the initiave to do the ground work, the research and present things in a platter to Dad.
Time to start work.

The process of planting wheat and harvesting
So looking back at my blog posts on harvest, this year indeed is a year of harvest. The vision I had 2 years ago concerning me picking up the small bags of goodies lined up for me and at the end picking up my big special parcel has come to past. And I'm so amazed at how God works.
I've always read about seasons and know that there is a season for everything. And everything is a process. Like planting wheat.
1. First you plough the land.
2. Then you sow the seed.
3. Then you water and nurture it.
4. While waiting for it to grow, you've got to take care of it, less insecticides comes along and destroy your crops.
5. Then when it is ready you harvest it.
So what's next after you've harvest it? You repeat process 1 again. You work to sow for the next harvest. Nothing comes easy in life. I saw a vision of a grinding equipment and a person working hard to spin the handle to grind the wheat into fine flour. It takes work, hard work. And the Lord has shown me that I'm in the last process: the grinding of the harvested wheat into fine flour, and it means working on it.
"After harvesting, the process of separating any chaff prepares the end product for grinding into flour or other applications." http://www.wisegeek.org/how-is-wheat-grown-and-harvested.htm
I've sown into my education and my career. I've now reaped an inheritance. My own law firm, my own office and a superb team as a strong foundation. God has given these harvest to me. And now to work on it grinding it into fine flour. While working on it, I start sowing again (process 1) and prepare for my next harvest.
I've sown into my relationship, I've been faithful in waiting, I've prayed, I've believed God will give me the best, one that He has prepared specially tailored for me to journey with in this life here on earth. I've now reaped that harvest. And now to work on it, grinding it into fine flour. While working on it, we start sowing again (process 1) and prepare for our next harvest.
1. Plowing. Wheat farmers prepare their fields by plowing the soil. This breaks up the surface of the soil and allows moisture to soak into the ground where it is stored for the next crop. Plowing the field also buries weeds that have grown in the damp soils. http://library.thinkquest.org/5443/whowgrown.html
Breaking of the soil reminds me of what God is doing to this firm now. We are plowing. He is breaking it up so that moisture (water - life) can soak into the ground where it is stored for the next crop. It must happen in order that we would have moisture for the next batch of crops to be planted. Plowing also buries weeds that have grown in the damp soils - i.e. weeds that will affect the next batch of crops if it is left there to grow with the seed.
2. Then once that is done, now we sow the seed. Farmers also must plant and harvest the wheat at the correct time.
We must know when to plant the seed at the correct time.
3. Water and nurture it. You care for it. Love it. Ecc 3:22 says "so I saw that there is nothing better for a man than to enjoy his work, because that is his lot. For who can bring him to see what will happen after him?" You water it with God's living water that gives life to the seed. The mustard seed sown must have life in it in order for it to grow into a big tree.
4. Protect it from diseases. While the wheat is growing, farmers must protect it from diseases, insect pests, and weeds. Rust is the most destructive wheat disease. Rust is a fungus that grows on the wheat plant and produces small, rust-colored spots on the leaves and stems. Insects damage about ten percent of the United States wheat crop every year. Grasshoppers and locusts are two of the more than one hundred insects that attack wheat plants. Weeds rob the wheat plants of the moisture and nourishment they need.
So again, I'm reminded of building the walls with one hand, and the other hand holding a weapon and looking out for those insecticides and rust that will come and destroy the crops. Rust are spread by airborne. Look out for those things that the Evil one uses to destroy your crops. Recognise it, Fight it and defend it. I will need to develop my spiritual muscles on this!
5. Lastly, there will come a season of harvest again. :)
Oh Lord, I am so thankful of the things that you have blessed me with. I am here, available to be used by you. counting the cost of building, I will do whatever it takes to fulfil what you've called me to do here on earth in my lifetime.
I've taken hold of the baton and I will run the long distance race.

Angel night
So I'm almost at the end of my TSOA class of 2013. 2 more weeks to go and I'm graduating. The vision of the next season is getting clearer and clearer. And it is true that it takes a lifelong journey of moulding and shaping this clay - US.
My attitude determines my altitude. There are things in my life that I am not proud of, character in me that I know needs to improve. But God rebukes with love and there is a season for Him to mould me in certain areas and I know that my next season is where He is teaching me to LOVE.
8 Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10 but when the perfect comes, the partial will pass away. 11 When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I gave up childish ways. 12 For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known.
13 So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
I have read this portion about love from 1 Corinthians over and over again so many times throughout my Christian walk, but never how I see it today.
LOVE is such a huge area. and the greatest of all is LOVE.
If you care enough about someone, you would give them your attention. The question is, how much do you care, or do you even care. I have like a bunch of questions already concerning this and time spent and etc how do you draw the line, where do you draw the line because you can't give yourself to everyone and all that thingamajig. But I'm excited to move on into this new season of love, not just the romantic edge to it, but really to learn to love in general, my family, friends and people. But it starts with the people closest to you and the people that matters most. And that is my task and assignment - to learn to love, first the people closest to me. Dear God I'm ready for revelational truths about LOVE, well maybe it's just simple truths that binds us. To love is to serve. Whatever it is, I avail myself to be moulded and shaped in this area. Now change my heart, make it ever true, may I be like You, You are the potter, I am the clay, mould me and make me, this is what I pray.
I'm so thankful and blessed that God gives me the best of the best, in due season and perfect time. To be doing life with someone who allows me freedom to be myself, discover and improve and still love me no matter what. That is pretty awesome. :)
I'm excited.

1 Corinthians 13:1-13
The Way of Love
The Way of Love
English Standard Version (ESV)
13 If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3 If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned,[a] but have not love, I gain nothing.
4 Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant 5 or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful;[b] 6 it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. 7 Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.8 Love never ends. Are you drinking water from the well or water that Jesus gives you?
John 4:7-14
Put it bluntly, I am not understanding what God is doing in my life now just as the Samaritan women was at the well. Jesus was speaking of something else, but she went on to talk about something else, things she thought she knew or understood and tried to figure out what Jesus was saying from all that she knew and from her point of view.
This morning I hear Him say, child you don't get it, you are missing the point. It is not about what you think it is. I'm asking the wrong questions, like the Samaritan woman. I'm focusing on the wrong thing/issue in this conversation.
Then He spoke to me and said "It is about your life and your life calling". And how to sustain or achieve it. Are you drinking from a well that others have dug or have you received water from Jesus?
If you are drinking from a well others have dug, you are always relying and feeding on the life/well of another, i.e. pastor, leaders, friends, your spouse....then you will be thirsty again. But if you have received water from Jesus, it will become in you a spring of water welling up to eternal life.

11 “Sir,” the woman said, “you have nothing to draw with and the well is deep. Where can you get this living water? 12 Are you greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well and drank from it himself, as did also his sons and his livestock?”
13 Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, 14 but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”

Wow, that means if you receive water from Jesus, you are self sustainable for there is a spring of water that wells up inside of you. It is about your personal relationship with Jesus that will keep you going. Not living on another person's dream or life or testimony.
Ok I get it now, thanks for the pointer. Like the Samaritan woman who took time to converse with Jesus, I'm glad I did the same, because conversations with Jesus always end up with revelations.
