My only daughter. Every morning she makes sure to come and give me a hug before she leaves for school. No matter how ornery I am.

Don't laugh, I have been know to use a sharpie marker to cover my grey hair between hair colorings. I know that there is Hair color pens. #1 I am too cheap. # 2 my kids would get a hold of it and destroy it.

I can't remember which of the Harry Potter ones are longest. Or possibly One of the Work & the Glory, I tried to read Le Miserables but I had to return it to the library before I was done. I'll try again another time.

"Big D"

I decided I needed to show off my family and put positive things about them. Mostly because I forget the good things. So, if for no other reason than to be positive and remember the good things.
This is one of my 2 youngest. "Big D" is a very funny boy. Yesterday I had this conversation with him.
"Big D": "I want to swim in the backyard."
Mom: "It's too cold."
"Big D": "I love snow, I get my swimming suit on."
Mom:(while giggling) "Honey, if you can find it you can go out in it." (Knowing that there was no way that he would. Also that if he did and went out he would promptly come back in.)
Somehow at this point I was able to distract him. Then all he wanted to do was put on his P.J.'s. which is what he usually does as he is stripping off his clothes, as he comes in the door from school. This pic is of him in his favorite pants. Very bright I know but, on days when he doesn't want to get dressed can hand these to him and he says "YEAH!" He is a great kid.

Ok, it may not be new to you but it is to me. It is coolest-birthday-cakes. com . My sister needed a dragon cake and I found this site there is a lot of fun ideas. Let me know if you enjoy it too.

A new thing for me.

I have never blogged before so I am sure I will do stupid stuff and make an idiot of myself. Here goes anyway.
Lately, I have spent a lot of my time helping my oldest son with his science homework. My cousin calls it "mom homework". Not my favorite things to do. I have learned a lot though. You can model almost anything out of rice krispy treats. I also enjoy the time with him,
I'm having hair issues right now because the other day I got out my curling iron to do my hair, plugged it in. There was a strange noise coming from it. I looked closer to see a puddle forming underneath. What the heck? I quickly unplugged it. Didn't even think to make sure I was standing on something non-conductive. Lucky for me I'm okay. I am still wondering what my little darlings did to it. I'm thinking the toilet. Anyone who knows me will realize this kind of thing is a common occurrence.
so, because I have extremely naturally curly hair I haven't been able to go anywhere because I have hideous hair.
