transcendancing and I frequent an awesome cafe, possibly more often than is good for our general productivity.
Anyway, the cafe does amazing coffees, consisting of a long black and ice, blasted to a fine foam, then served with a small jug of sugar syrup. transcendancing has hers with an added slurp of chocolate.
I'm utterly exhausted after a long and difficult day, so today's photo is a cheat one of my desk, because at least I don't have to move, or even pick up my real camera for this.
Entropy always wins, things wear out and break, everything ends. I know this. And yet, I've had my favourite tea mug since 1981. It had a mate originally, which broke within the first few years, but it has survived to be 30 years old.
I started knitting last winter, and have been enthusiastically collecting yarn since then (as I believe is appropriate for a knitter). I keep my stash of yarn in a wooden chest that I bought from caitlen when she moved house years ago.
Thank you to everyone who sent me gorgeous cards from around the world for the end of the year. I haven't yet packed them away, in part because they're still slowly trickling in (postal services being what they are...). And the cards look lovely, hanging in the window.
