Played Suiko V today to get a stronger grasp of Lyon's character and...actually think that that was a productive session. Turns out that I absorb more of a character's voice if I actually play through it rather than watch it through Youtube. Sure, Youtube is handy for the lines ("You didn't think I was chosen to be the Prince's bodyguard because of my sparkling eyes, did you?", for instance. Yes, I love that line, shut up). Also, noticed a few more things:
a) The height of Falenan fashion is well, fluttery stuff. Fluttery sleeves, capes, ribbons... b) Lyon is the smart cookie. When it comes to the diplomatic talk, she does all the talking for Frey. The Prince just nods and agrees. Makes you wonder if peace and goodwill in Falena is what he really wants. "Damnit, I just wanted to settle down with Luserina!" or something? Hmm. c) The Sindars have some really messed up monsters in their ruins. Hell, embryos? That's crazy, man.
As much as I rediscovered how much awesome Sialeeds and Raja are, I've also rediscovered Suiko V's most irritating aspects: (a) Real-time strategy battles AND (b) OBNOXIOUS NUMBERS OF RANDOM ENCOUNTERS. I could've done with less trouble in the Ceras Lake Ruins, thank you very much!
But anyway. Not quite sure if I'll continue with the game since it's...Lelcar next and the Lelcar strategy battle pissed me off so bad when I first played it. On one hand, I get Jeane, and the other, strategy battle. Ugh.
Moving on. mistressnaoko, you requested the ending of the duel between Tuah and Jebat in the Anak Laut anthology, right? I dug the book out.
Don't know where I was going with all that tl;dr, all I can say is that I'm pretty amazed that I can still read bahasa klasik despite not having touched a text in what, 5 years? Maybe they simplified the language in the text since Form 4 students really shouldn't be dealing with heavy-duty oldspeak, I dunno.
The US one has already reached the goal last time I checked it, it had 26,668 signatures. The UK one is up to 5,438. Those are the only ones I've seen specifically on government websites. There's…
I just read the whole thing, and I hate to be devil's advocate, but I don't see anywhere that it mentions it will keep people from getting generic drugs or that they can spy on us (I thought they…
