DDS is being nothing but awesome so far although I must admit that playing the game depresses me immensely. Maybe it's because I've never played dystopian games or at least nothing as nitty-gritty as DDS before but...yeah, it's kinda hard to come out of playing DDS without being pretty :( in general. Gale and Heat are being favourites of mine at the moment, though Argilla is growing on me.

NaNo wordcount as of 14/11: 28.6k. I'm ahead of schedule but still lagging behind mistressnaoko, baaaw.

I'd do that writing meme as well, but uh, I don't recall a lot of stuff that I wrote for past NaNos and I haven't exactly worked on an original project of my own since...forever. Maybe I will, someday.

I have an app to do, a NaNo to prepare for (I need to get my info off Plurk and into my laptop or into my planner, whichever) and more on fugacity and partial molar properties to read. I am understanding more of thermodynamics than I did during my previous semester which is...a good thing! I think. I am, however, still doing the whole brow-wrinkling thing when I encounter a huge chunk that I don't understand. Here's to hoping that I'll do as well as I think I'll do when I go back to Monash- though it looks like I'll be finishing my term in Sunway instead of going back to Melbourne. I should be returning to Melbourne to get my stuff and sort stuff out so I'll come visit you some time maybe, esuzumy! ;A;

RP drive has been hanging by a thread for the past few days. It's apparently a cyclic thing- I get spans like this every month and it usually lasts about a week, followed by intense threading. Think of it as a bell curve ahhh.

Flying off on the 22nd, which makes it a little over a week! Packing has started, but only in the very early stages (i.e. packing whatever winter clothing that I don't need and other such things. I've learnt to walk around in a jacket and T-shirt vs my usual turtlenecks) and I'm less worried about what goes to where then I am about finishing packing in time because I'm the type that groups stuff according to importance rather than categories. Though it could be that I don't have that much stuff to begin with, so! I'll admit that when Grace told me that she had 20 boxes to show when she moved from the halls to Rusden, I went D:.

Man. I guess I'm kinda channelling some trepidation at having to go home. It's less of the people I have to face (though I wince a little thinking of what my grandfather will say about me coming home "to think about things") and more of fear at what people will say. I used to help out at a recycling centre every Sunday morning, and most of the people there are middle-aged aunties whose children have graduated and are working. Back when I mentioned that I was in chem eng, they'd start telling me about how their kid did twinning for mech eng and what not- and I'd like to go back there to help (because despite it being crazily hot in that place and coming back feeling like I would collapse) because it was nice being able to do something even though I'm as socially inept as it is! But yeah, questions will be raised on why I'm back when the northern hemisphere summer is over and southern hemisphere summer isn't here and. Hrm. It's kinda stupid paying attention to what people whom I don't even know that well say, so...I guess it's a sign that I need to grow a thicker skin! Life's not going to be kind anyway, and I have to learn to deal with stuff like this. And seriously, that I should be thankful anyway that I have parents willing to pay through the nose to put me through tertiary education despite me being absolutely useless at stuff. "Princess", Grace says. Sob.

tl;dr dynast_harmonia needs to grow more of a spine. And this is as good as a time to do it!

I think...the only regret I have so far is not actually getting to know my housemates. Since all three of us are antisocial people (at least amongst ourselves- we barely see each other in the house), we barely know what each other is up to save for following Facebook updates and the occasional greeting when we pass each other in the kitchen. I guess I wish that whatever place that I next stay in- I'd like a place where I can be more sociable? It's kinda sad when you live in a place for a year and you don't even know what the people living in the same place likes. Also resolving to be more sociable in general when I come back and not be the antisocial hermit that I've been for the past year!!1 :(

...maybe I should make myself a list of things that I want and should do before I graduate? Like idk, bungee jumping. It's easier to be driven when you have a goal in mind anyway.

10 minutes after I submitted my course discontinuation form, I logged onto the enrolment system and they'd already suspended all my enrolment details. That's efficiency for you!

So yes, as of today, I am no longer a Monash student!

Ahaha, they were doing this Belbin team quiz thing in CHE 4161 today to help allocate people into groups for the design project next semester (usually it's done via academic achievement. Which it will still be- but it will be more of a moderation step rather than wholly academic results). I can't say that I'm surprised that I ended up as the Monitor Evaluator-cum-Teamworker type because...that's what I tend to be. I've gotten yelled at before for being a damper and yeah, conflict avoidance is usually how I tick.

...strangely enough, this carries over to RP. I enjoy being a support-type character, I guess. Who knew?

Thank you for summing up my feelings on studying today, Joshua. But I am not as amazingly genius-like as you and cannot afford to slack that much, sob. So yeah, been going through all the practice questions for Process Control today while spammin' it up in certain places and I think I have a pretty good grasp on what's required of me in this exam. As long as I breathe and don't panic (like in the case of Design), I should be able to do decently. I think.

Will probably be going to Victoria Market come Saturday to do some souvenir shopping because I have...no idea what to give to my relatives as souvenirs from Melbourne at all. What do you buy when under a budget that doesn't scream "tourist!" and "cheapskate!"? Here's hoping that Li Huey decides to tag along since she's more used to the area than I am.

Note to self: Buy Weekender pass tomorrow.
