Laertes - father of Odysseus; son of Arkejsjosa; In the absence of a son at Itea, he lived alone away from Penelope's court; After his son's return from Troy, rejuvenated by Athena, he assisted Odysseus in the fight against the relatives of murdered suitors. He participated in the expedition of the Argonauts and in the hunt for the wild boar.
