Sapindus saponaria L., also known by the popular names of soap-tree, soap-fruit, ibaró, jequiri, jequiriti, jequitiguaçu, soap-stick, soap-stick, soap-of-the-monkey, soap-of soap, saboner, soap dish, soap dish, marshmallow and saponaria is a plant of the Sapindaceae family. Used in Brazilian popular medicine and indigenous medicine: The fruit cooked with water, is used in the treatment of athlete's foot, chilblains, fungi and foot mycoses. Native to the tropical regions of America. It has penciled leaves and white flowers arranged in panicles. Its fruits have black and spherical seeds. It reaches 8 m in length. Sapindus saponaria L., também conhecida pelos nomes populares de árvore-do-sabão, fruta-de-sabão, ibaró, jequiri, jequiriti, jequitiguaçu, pau-de-sabão, pau-sabão, sabão-de-macaco, sabão-de-mico, sabão-de-soldado, sabãozinho, saboeiro, saboneteira, saboneteiro, salta-martim e saponária é uma planta da família das Sapindaceae. Usado na medicina popular brasileira e medicina indígena: O fruto cozinhado com água, é usado no tratamento de pé-de-atleta, frieiras, fungos e micoses dos pés. Nativa das regiões tropicais da América. Tem folhas penadas e flores brancas dispostas em panículas. Os seus frutos têm sementes pretas e esféricas. Chega a atingir 8 m de comprimento.
