urbanberber and I created a cosplay group on deviantart! We'll be posting all our photos there since I don't want to spam this journal, so check it out if you're interested! I've also been putting up a bunch/reblogging them on my tumblr. Kinda bummed we haven't found any of our Runaways costumes, even though we were stopped for pictures quite a bit (and like a million photos were taken of us with Mr. T. Guys. Guys. Felicia Day complimented my costume. Felicia Day went out of her way to tell us that our costumes are awesome. Like, approached us to tell us this, not vice versa. Not making small talk while mobbed by fans. She was trying to avoid being seen by fans and was talking with the other panelists, but interrupted her conversation to tell us we were awesome. OH MY GOD MY LIFE IS MADE.
This was when we arrived at the line too late to get into the Dragon Age panel (it filled up in about ten minutes, apparently), but thengoldeneagle went in and talked to David Gaider or someone and two minutes later a con attendant came out and told us "You two need to come in now." All those hours of sewing: SO worth it, holy shit.

Assassin's Creed: Revelations - This trailer is painfully uninteresting and has very odd music AND YET. HNNNNNG WANT. Ezio you do not look like Ezio. Really, you look kind of like Sean Connery, ide. STOP SHOWING US FIGHTING I KNOW HE CAN FIGHT. SHOW ME CONSTANTINOPLEEEEEEE.
Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword - Cute. Looks like an aesthetic cross between TP and Four Swords, which I guess I'm cool with. Potential new villain? Looks a bit like Vaati, I think.
Bioshock Infinite - Bright colors! A partner! All the moving roller coaster things make me think of Myst. This is not a bad thing! Only problem is the first-person element of Bioshock has always made it difficult for me to play, from an OH SHIT OH SHIT I AM GOING TO DIE perspective.
Uncharted 3 - I'm sorry, is Nathan Drake being threatened by Meryl Streep? SULLY! SULLY AND CHLOE! I love Sully, but I spend every cutscene with him utterly convinced that he is going to die. It's very distressing. And I'm so glad Chloe didn't get completely shafted after the last game. Yay! For this, I will play shooters. Also, this game isn't even out and we already know he sinks a ship, brings down a plane, and burns down a house. What aren't they showing us? His single-handed demolition of the Burj Khalifa?
Final Fantasy XIII-2 - Wow, I didn't think I could hate this game any more than I already did. But I can because Serah is the lead. Apparently Terra from KH is in it? Only his name is Noel now. OH GOD THAT GIRL HAS HORRENDOUS BOOBS ON HER SHIRT WHAT THE FUCK. Lightning's new outfit is awful and the battle system looks exactly as boring as before.

Guuuuuuys, guys guys guys. I made chocolate KH sea salt popsicles. Yes? Yes? They are already selling! I THINK THIS IS A GOOD THING. Only being able to make four at a time = not such a good thing, but I guess that's where I raise the prices if I need to. Supply and demand, this is how it works.

So guys I am so into cosplay right now it is kind of ridiculous, who am I. Ridiculously dorky costume for AnimeBoston, get! Epic plans for summer creatures, go! Do I have sewing skills? NO! BUT I WILL GET SOME. I am enjoying sewing so much I don't even. EVEN WHEN I THE LINING SHRINKS AFTER I'VE SEWN IT TOGETHER AND I HAVE TO SPEND THREE HOURS RIPPING SEAMS AND REDOING IT. (Lesson: do not buy $2 lining.) But seriously: how do I always end up with the most expensive and time-consuming hobbies?

Other thing I am really into right now is Leverage. I AM IN LOVE. I am so glad I found a fabulous new show to watch because television has been severely disappointing lately (although I am excite for The Borgia, guys, so excite). But yes, Leverage! They are a crazy adorable dysfunctional family who perform cons and heists! THIS IS ALL OF MY FAVORITE THINGS AT ONCE. Parker is basically the genetic lovechild of Lexis and Dr Brennan who likes to jump off buildings. She is genuinely not right in the head. I did not know I needed this in my life until now! Eliot looks like an angry surfer and kicks people's heads in and protects puppies and although he is perhaps the furthest thing from my type this is really fucking hot and I am more than a little bit in love. This show is amazing and loveable and dorky and doesn't make the mistake of taking itself seriously ever and there is an episode where they all tell their own versions of the time they each tried to steal the same dagger from a museum on the same night five years before they actually met and their perceptions of each other are hilarious.

Beat Dragon Age!
a) Significantly easier than the last one--this is in some ways bad, but I also do like the battle system a lot better because it's one I'm much more comfortable with. I want a trophy for completing the game without ever switching to Casual.
b) 43 out of 56 trophies on the first playthrough? Without even trying? That's... that's just wrong. Number of trophies that will require a complete second playthrough because they are dependent on opposite plot points/decisions: about three. UNCOOL.
c) You know you've chosen a genre-appropriate name for your character when you encounter an NPC with the same name. \o/ (Flipping through fanfic summaries and seeing some of the truly stupid names people have given their characters is... entertaining.)
Now I need to restart Origins and see if I can actually beat it this time. I'm thinking I'll play through as Lexis. XD (Probably as a warrior elf--haven't decided city or Dalish yet. Thoughts? I have not been posting enough lately; I guess I've been feeling like I have nothing to post about. But that isn't true! For one thing, I ought to be doing Slush Pile Hell, because if your last name is Kuntz and you are writing a book, you should probably consider a pseudonym. You should probably also not use "kuntzrealm" for your email address. That's probably a life rule, actually. Unless you're a porn star. Then it's fine.
But anyway, I love my job! No, really, I fucking love my job. The people are wonderful, the job is interesting, I feel fully capable at it but also like I'm learning new things every day; they value my insight on manuscripts and include me in author conference calls. There was an author party a few weeks ago where everyone got cupcakes and Prosecco. Today my boss brought me cookies at lunch and then gave me an entire bottle of wine that had been a gift from a client. I just. This place is wonderful, and better: they think I'm wonderful. Only one more month 'till they start paying me!
Also the truffle sales are sloooow, but that is probably good because I haven't made any new ones since I got back from Genericon (need to get on that this weekend). And I just realized that I think I forgot to actually share with you guys that there are genuinely geeky truffles available, at long last? Do you want some chocolate paopu fruit, perhaps? A cookie dough Sora? Have I shown you my cinnamon Pokeballs?
You know you want some. You know your friends want some. I bet their friends want some. Spread the word!
Also, because the Pokeballs will eventually come in multiple flavors, not just cinnamon, and because people like polls, I shall now do a poll of what flavor I should make next! WHAT SAY YOU?
