I am so embarassed that when I am watching Young Justice and they say "Klarion the Witch Boy," I know who that is.

I have not been posting enough lately; I guess I've been feeling like I have nothing to post about. But that isn't true! For one thing, I ought to be doing Slush Pile Hell, because if your last name is Kuntz and you are writing a book, you should probably consider a pseudonym. You should probably also not use "kuntzrealm" for your email address. That's probably a life rule, actually. Unless you're a porn star. Then it's fine.

But anyway, I love my job! No, really, I fucking love my job. The people are wonderful, the job is interesting, I feel fully capable at it but also like I'm learning new things every day; they value my insight on manuscripts and include me in author conference calls. There was an author party a few weeks ago where everyone got cupcakes and Prosecco. Today my boss brought me cookies at lunch and then gave me an entire bottle of wine that had been a gift from a client. I just. This place is wonderful, and better: they think I'm wonderful. Only one more month 'till they start paying me!

Also the truffle sales are sloooow, but that is probably good because I haven't made any new ones since I got back from Genericon (need to get on that this weekend). And I just realized that I think I forgot to actually share with you guys that there are genuinely geeky truffles available, at long last? Do you want some chocolate paopu fruit, perhaps? A cookie dough Sora? Have I shown you my cinnamon Pokeballs?


You know you want some. You know your friends want some. I bet their friends want some. Spread the word!

Also, because the Pokeballs will eventually come in multiple flavors, not just cinnamon, and because people like polls, I shall now do a poll of what flavor I should make next! WHAT SAY YOU?

As I'm still in desperate need of income, I've kicked the truffle thing back into high gear in hopes that maybe I can get this ball rolling. First batch: basic dark chocolate with chocolate liqueur ganache. Results: still having that problem with the ganache where it sets way too fast for me to pipe it, which is a bitch and a half, especially as I used a different recipe and technique this time and followed the instructions exactly. On the other hand: I TEMPERED THE HELL OUT OF THIS BITCH, HELL YEAH MOTHERFUCKER. *fistbumps everywhere* So basically, the shape is awful but the coating is good (albeit thinner than I'd like; double coating necessary?), and they taste fucking good. Next up: dark chocolate raspberry ganache. Followed by something with molds, because I suspect that if I can master that, molds might actually be a far more expedient method of production.

Just a reminder, how much interest was there in geeky truffles? To facilitate this question, I shall provide a poll!
