busy saturday; tired mouse
Feb. 7th, 2015 10:21 pm[back dated post]
Up earlier than the rest of the household this morning, so spent some time in the lounge working on stretches. The muscle I pulled is slowly forgiving me, but the rest of me is still a lot stiff (some laziness, some normal variation, some reaction to pulled muscle).
Then a rather hectic morning. After achieving ‘washed, dressed, fed’, headed out in the company of youngest, middlest, and artisanat to get youngest to dance by 9am. From there – ballet shop, where a new order was made for middlest’s ballet shoes (necessary size Not Available), youngest’s jazz shoes (for choir) were fitted to middlest, and an appropriate colour cross-over was grabbed for youngest, on spec; Bunnings, where a lock (for the work locker), large dowel (for a towel rail), brackets (likewise) and a suitable countersunk bit were sorted, followed by sausage-inna-bun for the rest of the party; and back to collect youngest. Skating (the kids), a trip to Evil Spotlight, back to skating, home again, youngest and I did a relatively fast turn around, and back on the train. Then to Subi for a baby shower [J’s. gift – bright stripes baby quilt with the brown back]
Stayed later at the baby shower than I had planned. This was then complicated by the fact that there was some kind of WEagles thing at the oval, and there were rail replacement buses running. However, made it to the appropriate store in the city to get youngest’s phone, so happy about that. Also, a second (side specific) wrist brace, as hand was sore, and youngest was still using my brace. Am encouraging youngest to be picky about when zie uses it, and to question whether it is needed each time zie puts it on. There was a brief complaint about tingling in the thumb tip, but given that I get that without bracing, and loosening the brace didn’t seem to change it, I’m guessing it was just one of those things.
By the time we were home, I was too tired to go out again, so missed the FON’s birthday/housewarming gathering. Instead, small amounts of housework happened, as did lots of lazing around on the internet.
