My knitting equipment order arrived today. I've transferred youngest's jacket to the 80cm loop needles, and done a few rows. I'm not convinced about them - the loop is fabulous, but I've never knitted with anything other than metal needles before, and I'm having to modify some bad habits (such as the one where I push the needle backwards with one fingertip, rather than pulling it properly, when moving to take the current loop off the needle).

I'm trying to persuade myself that starting a project just so that I can feel how the bamboo crochet hook works is also a bad idea.

But I finished something today, and I progressed two other tasks. Surely that means I can start a new one?

*sigh*. I'm going to try and block the purple blanket. And find a third project to finish. If I can finish three *in one day* then I might let myself start something new. Except that I also want to experiment with the *other* loop needle, which I think is 150cm, which would enable me to do a 1m square blanket, and i have *ideas* on that one.

And the question I ask myself - if I threw in my job, and rearranged my life so that I didn't need the money that I earn to support the lifestyle I like, would I get a higher percentage of my concepts done, or would I just be generating ideas at a greater rate? Bonus question - am I going to be like my grandmother, and run out of ideas at 90? What will that feel like?
