As of yesterday, have given up on getting currently reading under 10. This is because I have started many of the Aurealis books, so as to get a feel for what is there. Worked out I'm missing multiples, two of which are in the local library so we trekked down there (after the offspring got home, because they had taken both cars, because both had work).

This was my first 'leave the house' thing in a week, because I wasn't going out with potential for being contagious. Also stopped in at the local shops on the way home and did a truncated shop.

Other than that, reading, pottering, reading, appreciating the not-as-hot-as-earlier, etc.

Today, Artisanat and I got it together to do the next part in a project that we did the last part for when we were on leave roughly this time last year. We have purchased an entertainment unit to replace the one we have. It will be delivered next Wednesday, which gives us plenty of time to completely rearrange the lounge. Today, we moved a bookshelf (one of the IKEA grid ones, a 5*5) from the raised section at the end of the lounge to where the blanket box was. Said blanket box has been moved along (it does not, in fact, contain blankets, but photography Stuff). The entertainment unit will go on the raised section, and then we can look at getting an actual screen (or TV unit? beyond current thinking).

And, in a classic example of Stuff! expanding while moving, I have left over one cubby's worth of SF magazines (which were shoved in willy-nilly to take up the whole available volume), and ~3/4 cubby of kids picture books, and the shelf is full. Yes, some of the graphic novels were stacked at the front to be sorted in, but my perception was that there was less of those than the picture books. So much for 'I'll move some of this elsewhere, and then move some of the games back. hah.

Tomorrow, I think we move the desk. Or start tidying. One of the two.

Oh, and on our expedition we stopped in for coffee at the local Indian cafe/restaurant (which was a bit confronting just sitting with masks off), dropped off some items at an op-shop, and acquired some second hand jigsaw puzzles for Youngest. Who needs something to use up their rapidly decreasing free time (they have three volunteer and two paid work shifts in the next week; the first is Sunday 1st, which I wasn't expecting the shops to be open for).

ETA: the other thing I did yesterday was sit down at the piano. All I did was start playing through the Hanon's exercises book again. I remembered the first six well enough to play with the music there to remind me the patterns; the seventh I had forgotten thoroughly enough (if I ever knew it) that I had to learn it separate hands. Goal is to keep working through like that at least twice a week (more would be better, but energy + motivation + timing -- can't do it now, Youngest has gone to bed), and maybe reach the end of the year knowing the whole book to adequate standard (there are 60 such, I think; no idea how much time that would take in one session, but I have intentions of getting faster as well)
