Annual goals
Jan. 15th, 2014 06:22 pmAt the beginning of last year, I said that in 2013:
Goals for this year are to increase the amount of exercise done, and aim to do something significant along those lines daily; to put an hour in for work and/or study at home every day; to blog daily - possibly twice, one being the quotidian events, and one being something else instead; and to keep working on getting the house sorted
The first of these I managed well - taking up ice-skating Lots helped, and there were points of the year when artisanat and I were going for semi-regular walks. Wearing the pedometer helped, and I should go back to that.
The second and third, not so much. I have managed to keep some track of events, but I'm never going to be a champion diarist, and I'm choosing not to beat myself up about this - some days are too busy, and some days I really do need to just ignore the Internet. And I wasn't happy with the amount of study time I was allocating through term, to the point that I don't *really* feel confident about my understanding of the topics I covered last year. And since term finished, I haven't been thinking about it. Will have to think about a way to motivate myself.
The fourth I'm pretty happy with as well. There have been times when the whole house feels like a disaster zone, and others wherever there are multiple areas clear. We've decluttered stuff, although I haven't kept track of this as much as I would have liked (freecycle emails would help with that!). And I've thrown quite a bit of time at craft projects that are decreasing the amount of Stuff as well, so I'm happy there (now to stop buying fabric. And yarn. And bits for projects I dream of having time to work on).
But what about 2014?
