Hello Everyone!
I just purchased a couple of dvd's that i want to rip onto my computer. But i am having a bit of problems. Im not sure which programs to use! Please tell me a good program to use! I really need someones help! It would mean the absolute world to me!!

Hello Everyone!
Well i have been dying to make my own icons but have failed to do so. Im have this program but it is really confusing to me. I have Corel Paint Shop Pro X, if anyone has any tutorial on making icons (or banners, headers, blends, wallpapers, etc.), please let me know. I really want to get some icons up, so please help me out. |

I am glad that the community is reopening :) The first challenge will consist in a quote:
"I am here, waiting for you... you seem to fade away"
Use at least 3 words. Entries will be due Friday 19th at which time the voting will start!
The rules are the same as always, one entry for each contestant and LJ icon requirements (40KB-) and (100x100px-)

Hey everyone! A thousand apologies for the long wait! I was under the impression that  vrendo was doing voting this week, but I think we miscommunicated or something. Anyways, we didn't have a whole lot of entries this week, but I'm going to go ahead and post 'em the old school way.
keswell, welcome and thanks for entering. Unfortunately, we have a system where icons are submitted through a screened comment, so that people vote for their favorite icon instead of their favorite person. ;-) I won't be able to include your icon in this week's voting, but please join us for next week!

Hey everyone. Apologies for being so late with banners and everything! However, we have a slight problem on our hands. A three-way tie has occured in our voting! Hopefully next week, we will be able to go back to having categories, but this week is a bit of a problem.
SO. I propose a tiebreaker. Please vote for your absolute favorite icon. I know this is really, really short notice, but I'm gonna try to close tiebreaker voting tonight around 8 pm (EST) so I can go ahead and make banners.

This is a message to tell you that thanks God I am back :)
I did excellent with my exams and I am ready for the Internet again! yay!
Thanks campbell_soup for taking care of the icontest community while I was gone ;) I think now I'll have to organise 30 contests to be fair! lol...

Yes, I'm finally getting around to posting last week's winners. This time of year gets really busy for me, but my schedule will definitely loosen up after May 13 (my last day of school). Thanks go to youko_silvara, who has generously offered to help me even more...I'm very bad at letting people help me, and try to take on way to much. Anyways, if she doesn't mind, she will be posting the voting this week. First person to post an interest in doing banners may do them. Thanks in advance!

Okay, I know I haven't gotten the results up yet, but I'm working on it. I figured I'd post the challenge so you guys could get started on next week.
Alas, on top of all my business, I am now grounded off the computers. My father has confiscated all the mouses (mices?) in our house (ooh, that's low even for you, Dad...). Not to be outdone, I have my own mouse, but it only works on a Windows machine, and all of my files are on my Mac. ARG! Hopefully I'll be able to sort everything out and have everything posted by tomorrow. Thanks for your patience!
