My journal contains ponderings on the life of a 26 year old female as I cultivate a better understanding of what it means to be me. Which so far includes: medical professional, student, pseudo-intellectual, sister, daughter, friend, book lover, liberal, atheist?, black, poly, kinky, bisexual, submissive, stoner girl- just to name a few.
I've started a new career in the medical field and plan on continuing my education to become a Nurse Practitioner. I don't have any children and am not sure that I ever want any (but that doesn't stop my mother from pressuring me to produce a grandbaby). However, I've always loved children... I just love returning them to their parents even more lol. I have recently entered into a relationship with a man and a woman (a first attempt at poly/open relationships for all of us) and it's going very well.
The people on my f-list are more than just a number. I like to get to know the people that I read and I comment when I feel so inclined. I enjoy seeing the world through another person's eyes- especially if their point of view is different than my own. It adds perspective and that is invaluable when it comes to considering advice (which I tend to look for more often than not from my readers).
I'm very open minded and accepting (how can I not be? Did you see the words I listed to describe myself? lol) and interested in the ideas and choices of others.

I'm a 23 yr old black female living in Las Vegas, Nv. I fairly recently began my LJ in April and I've been a posting/commenting fool ever since. I've recently learned that I thoroughly enjoy doing both :)
I pretty much write about anything that weighs on my mind enough to where I have to let it out. That can mean anywhere from shoes (I'm a high heels kinda girl) to my interest in BDSM to cartoons (adult swim, baby!) to my chihuahuas- you get the idea.
I'm very open minded and respect others lifestyle choices. I'm looking to add folks with that same quality. So, feel free to add me and I'll add ya back ;)
