Well, hello there. My name is Alex. I'm 18 and a freshman in college. I'm really into music. I sing. Hopefully someday this will lead to a career, but because I am a realist I am majoring in psychology just in case that plan falls through.

Other than that I read and write a lot. Mostly poetry and short stories. I was working on a novel for a while, but my hard drive crashed and I lost 14 chapters. School has kept me super busy lately, but I've been trying to write more. Most of my poems are about romance, and the rest are a mixture of emo-ness and just writing about daily events. I started writing when I was very little. I think about first grade. Writing has always been my outlet. A lot of people in my family are writers, so it just sorta happened.

Found this community on one of those plug communities, among the sea of posts about clothes and jewelry for sale, RPGs, and fanfiction. Just seemed to catch my eye. Hopefully it will grow. I love meeting new people. =)

Oh, and I'm a vegetarian! Dunno why I felt like adding that.

Ok, so I'm hoping that my introduction can sort of help as a guidline for people to post introductions. It doesn't have to be exactly like this, just as long as it gets across whatever you want to say.

My name is Nessa, and my Live Journal is nesserz193, and I'm the creator of this cool little community. I'm a sophomore in high school, and I love to write. I've written (and sang) 3 songs on YouTube, and I have a book with a bunch of poems I wrote. I'm kinda a shy person, but I'm really easy to talk to. Truth is, I'm probably more intimidated by you than you are by me.
My other interests include the Beatles and the Monkees. I'm absolutely OBSESSED!
I started writing poetry about... 6 years ago (man, I can't believe it's been that long!) when my dad died. Most of my poems are sorta based on that. So if you're not into sad poems, I'm sorry, that's how I write 'em most of the time.

In order to explain this community, I believe I should post exactly what I wrote in the "About" section of the User Info...

Here's the story. I love poetry, and in my search for a community to post my poetry in, they all seemed a little... intimidating. There were TONS of members, and I, being knew to livejournal, wasn't sure if I was supposed to just jump in and post, or say something about myself first.

So, I decided to create this community! Trust me, don't be intimidated about joining. I think I'm practically the least intimidating person on the planet.
