a little poetry community :)
Here's the story. I love poetry, and in my search for a community to post my poetry in, they all seemed a little... intimidating. There were TONS of members, and I, being knew to livejournal, wasn't sure if I was supposed to just jump in and post, or say something about myself first.
So, I decided to create this community! Trust me, don't be intimidated about joining. I think I'm practically the least intimidating person on the planet.
If you do join, please introduce yourself with a post, and then you can go poetry crazy!
Except.... just some rules.
1. DON'T BE MEAN!! Give people constructive critisism, don't shoot them down!
2. You CAN advertize for other communities here if you want. Just don't make it excessive. and if you can, post a poem in the same entry maybe? Just so people don't just have an advertisement for another community on their friends page and nothing else.
3. Try to keep it PG. Unless you use a lj cut with a warning of something like "not suitable for people under the age of 13" or something like that.
4. DO NOT COPY OTHER PEOPLE'S WORK AS YOUR OWN!! That's an obvious one. If you're posting someone elses poem, make sure you have their permission to, and credit them
5. Any types of poetry are welcome. Including song lyrics.
As with anything, there are exceptions to these rules. Just ask me about it. message me on my livejournal. I'm the one listed under "maintainer". Nesserz193.
