Words, Fate, & Accidents

“I wanted to tell him no, that it was okay and that he shouldn’t be sorry. We may not know each other well but sometimes people could find comfort in the most unlikely places. Be it in a good book, a playlist with all our favorite songs, or even in a foreign country, standing beside a stranger you met by accident.

I wanted to tell him it was crazy…but in a completely beautiful way.”

My sister, Pam, did an amazing job designing the book cover of my latest novel, WORDS, FATE & ACCIDENTS.

Trivia: this cover was actually inspired by the front entrance of a popular bookstore at the heart of Paris, France: Shakespeare & Company. In the photo above, I took a photo of my book over the lovely green shutters of the store, which can be seen on the book as well. <3

BUT GUESS WHAT? Most people don’t know is that my sister added a wonderful detail to the cover… Instead of random lines and quotes written on the shutters, she wrote a bunch of stuff about me! Like my favorite Starbucks drink, the name of my pet dog and some of my most favorite places in the world.

Oh. I almost forgot. We also put in an EASTER EGG on the cover. And by easter egg I mean…

I already gave away the title of my next book. You’re welcome. Happy hunting! ;) hahaha

Right behind me is a historic masterpiece—and the most romantic setting of my latest book, WORDS, FATE & ACCIDENTS

On top of the majestic Arc De Triomphe was where Sam revealed his true self to Joey and where they shared their— (SPOILER ALERT!) 😘

Really went in the middle of the street to get his shot. 😂 The things I do for my characters haha! My book is available on Amazon.com in paperback & e-book!

In 2013, I went to Paris and got to visit this wonderful bookstore. Today, I came here again—and in my hand, the book I wrote inspired by my trip to this beautiful city. One of the scenes, even, happened in this very place and hinted the budding romance between my leads: Sam & Joey 🧡💙 The book cover also features the exterior of the store. 😍

I visited this marvellous infrastructure 5 years ago & I just fell in love. It breaks my heart to hear the news but also relieved the it still stands. ❤️ It is after all the heart of the whole city.

I’m actually flying to Paris next week to see it again—to celebrate the publication of “WORDS, FATE & ACCIDENTS” which was set there. This particular place was the inspirations (and setting) for one of the important scenes in my book. Really hoping I can still get close even though it’s under renovation.
