Thoughts:

--Dang, taking Wednesdays off is such a lifesaver for me. I much prefer it to a long weekend. I've been doing every other Wednesday and taking that time to go to the bakery for breakfast sandwich and scone, then sitting in a park for a couple of hours listening to podcasts and watching the 5 million dog walkers that go by.

--Podcast wise, the new series of David Tennant's podcast has the potential to be better than the first. Not that I disliked it, but it felt very 'let me interview you about your life' in a way that I don't think brought a lot to the table (I hate standard interviews and have begun refusing to listen to them because they are so dull and repetitive). But the new one with Jim Parsons is really excellent and nicely meanders.

--Got a fic comment that says "this cleared my skin and watered my crops." <3 I love the corner of internet culture that I'm in.

--Finding it interesting to watch myself emotionally interact with the two different Critical Role campaigns. I'm not usually a fan of spoilers but I am sort of realizing that part of the reason I'm not so stressed by campaign 1 is that I know enough of the outcomes to not worry about my babies even though I am quite invested. Whereas campaign 2 is ongoing so I have no emotional safety net. I haven't watched an in progress narrative story in so long! I forgot what it's like!

--I bought a thing off etsy and failed to check my default mailing address and now it's been delivered to my office. *facepalm* One of my coworkers is going in once a week so I'm going to have to ask her to mail it to me.

--Still here.

Things:

--I watched a fanvid about Sidney Crosby and I am now determined not to have feelings, thank you very much.

--I cleaned my fridge, woo!

--Very silly cross-stitch project is almost done. I will post a pic here when I'm finished, and you will all laugh at me. :D

--I keep organizing things rather than making things, which is both excellent and sad. Maybe when my whole place is perfect I will be able to make some art. (Ha. Ha.)

--Here are some podcast episode recs:

Backlisted - How to Talk About Books You Haven't Read by Pierre Bayard. Entertainingly, one of the panelists hadn't read the book, and the audience was challenged to figure out which one. Also, I borrowed the book from the library, read the introduction, and didn't manage to read the rest. Feel free to talk to me about it if you like. :D

Rule of Three podcast - Cariad Lloyd on Whose Line is it Anyway? (direct link to episode, itunes link) Not only is this an ode to the show, but there is also a lot of discussion about the history of impro(v), the politics of spelling the word, and her show Austentatious, which I would desperately like to see, but alas they will probably never tour here.

(I think I recced that episode on twitter ages ago when it first aired, but it really is great.)

--Hi.
