病弱な大正天皇は、父としての家庭的な姿よりも、
すでに「神」として軍部や官僚に圍まれていました。
その場に同席する幼い昭和天皇は、
父を「人間」ではなく「神」として見るのが自然な環境。

「天皇は神」
という空氣を當然のように作り出していました。

すでに明治以來、天皇の周圍は
軍部とスパイのネットワークに埋め盡くされていました。
幼い昭和天皇にとっては、
そういう大人の世界に同席するのも「普通」の日常。

「神の子・國家裝置の後繼者」
として育てられたのです。

👶 Birth and Education
Until coming of age in 1921, Emperor Shōwa was raised from the moment of his birth with the belief:
“You are a descendant of the gods, and you are a god yourself.”
Although he had the ordinary side of a child—someone who loved observing insects and fish—
within the household, his upbringing was thoroughly centered on “education as a child of God.”
Even when he himself seemed puzzled,
he lived in an environment where he had no choice but to accept it as
“That’s just how it is.”

👀 The Figure of His Father, Emperor Taishō
Emperor Taishō, frail in health, was surrounded not so much as a father within the family,
but already as a “god,” encircled by military leaders and bureaucrats.
For the young Emperor Shōwa, who sat in those same spaces,
it was natural to see his father not as a human being, but as a god.
The adults around him unquestioningly created an atmosphere in which
“the Emperor is divine”
was treated as an obvious truth.

🕵️ A Nest of the Military and Spies
From the Meiji era onward, the Emperor’s surroundings were already
densely entangled in networks of the military and espionage.
For the young Emperor Shōwa,
being present in such an adult world was simply part of his “normal” daily life.
In other words—
from early childhood, he was raised not as a “free child,”
but as “a child of God and the successor to a state apparatus.”
