【一時帰国🌸2026年春 #9】上陸したのに暖かくならない件

おかげさまで夜はよく眠れて、朝5時台に自然と目が覚めました。
Thankfully, I slept well through the night and woke up naturally sometime in the 5 o’clock hour.
私には、「女版松岡修造」というあだ名があります。
一時帰国していた私がアメリカに戻るたびに、なぜか急に寒くなる……そんなことが続いていたから。
I happen to have a nickname: the female version of Shuzo Matsuoka.
Every time I came back to the U.S. after a temporary visit to Japan, it would suddenly get cold for some reason. That kept happening again and again.
なので今回は、その逆を密かに狙っていました。
私が日本に上陸したら、すぐに暖かくなるんじゃないか、
と単純に期待していたんです。
So this time, I was secretly hoping for the opposite.
I was simply expecting that once I landed in Japan, it would warm up right away.
あれ、おかしいな。
まだすんごく寒いんですけど。
Huh… that’s strange.
It’s still really cold.
ある程度の覚悟はしていたものの、この氣温差はやっぱりこたえます。
I knew it would be chilly, but this temperature difference is still rough.
これじゃあ、完全に冬の寒さではないですか？
カリフォルニア人は、凍ってしまいそうです。
冬物はまったく持ってこなかったんですが…
I mean, this is basically full-on winter, isn’t it?
This Californian feels like she’s about to freeze.
And I didn’t bring any winter clothes at all…
今日は短いですが、このへんで終わりにしておきます。
じらしているつもりはまったくないんですけど、この一時帰国記、かなりゆっくりペースになっています。
This is a short one today, so I’ll stop here for now.
I’m really not trying to drag things out, but this temporary-homecoming journal is moving at quite a slow pace.
