Summary: Bin is an unpaired Sentinel because he's faceblind (and red-green colorblind). He enjoys being on his school's dance team and hanging out with Sanha and Minhyuk, who are a paired Sentinel and Guide team in official government training. His life is upended when Lee Dongmin transfers to their school, Lee Dongmin who's very smart and polite - and is an ugly squid.
Why I recced this: A high school AU + a Sentinel/Guide AU; it was the first long S/G AU in the fandom (at least on AO3; the first S/G fic was also written by me but was much shorter and passed by with barely a blip). Given Bin's truly prodigious sense of smell, writing him as a Sentinel had to be done at least once.

Reason for reccing: This is a Final Fantasy VI AU that does an excellent job taking the plot of the video game and crafting a textured and meaningful story from it! I had the pleasure of reading along with this fic as my friend was writing it and I am so impressed with how it turned out. If you like adventure stories with great worldbuilding and enjoyable ensemble dynamics, plus a Yoon Jeonghan-centric take on a fantasy story, you should definitely read this one!

Reason for reccing: i'm relatively new to enjoying omegaverse (meaning i'm kind of picky, maybe even pretentious, about certain things) - and i also prefer fics under 50k - but this is EVERYTHING to me! i read it over 3 days and obsessed over it every second i wasn't reading. if you're looking for carefully crafted txt dynamics and a compelling depiction of the idol industry with omegaverse, i don't think you'll be disappointed. i cried multiple times.

Content warnings: Nothing that I can think of. The JohnMark fics are tamer then the Yuta/Jaehyun ones, which deal with a lot of anxiety, family pressure, vaguely disordered eating, serious injury and disability
Word Count: 193,460 (for the entire series)
Recommendation: This is a five-fic series, six if you count the sequel to Round Each Other Up, which is the spin off series about Jaehyun and Yuta. The final fic in the series is incomplete, but the rest of the fics are complete, and with the exception to hello stranger (the previously mentioned Round Each Other Up sequel) each fic is a complete work unto itself.
The series follows Mark as he attends college and forms a relationship with his hot TA, Johnny, and then pivots over to Johnny's roommate, Jaehyun. It's a classic romance series, and I love seeing this friend group grow, expand and learn about each other.
