Granny Pig is a recurring character in "Peppa Pig".
Biography[]
Granny Pig is the wife of Grandpa Pig, the mother of Mummy Pig and Auntie Dottie, mother-in-law of Daddy Pig, and grandmother of Peppa, George, and Evie. She lives with Grandpa Pig in a house not so far from Peppa's. Granny Pig calls Peppa and George "[her] little ones," and George calls her "Grangy Ig" or "Gangy ig." Granny Pig owns three chickens and a rooster in her yard. The chickens' names are Jemimah, Sarah, and Vanessa, and the rooster's name is Neville. Aside from her chickens, she and Grandpa Pig also own a parrot bird named Polly Parrot. In most episodes, Granny Pig is seen in her house and almost always wears her sun hat.
Personality[]
Granny Pig is a kindhearted and caring grandmother. She always tries to accommodate Peppa and George and enjoys spending time with them. She likes wearing perfume, cooking, shopping, and relaxing. In Perfume, she teaches Peppa how to make her own perfume, and in Treasure Hunt, she creates a treasure hunt for Peppa and George. She likes strawberries, as seen in Strawberries. She is often casual and does not spend as much time thinking about the future as Grandpa Pig does. Granny Pig has a lot of friends and often likes to throw parties. She also likes dancing and drinking tea. Granny Pig's favorite type of music is rock and roll, as revealed in Jukebox.

Granny Pig is seen with a pinky-purple skirt with black shoes. She can also sometimes be seen with a sun hat starting from Rock Pools, however, she doesnât wear this all the time.

- In newer Brazilian dubs, Granny Pig's voice was changed for a known reason. The old voice actor (Geisa Vidal) has retired, therefore changing her voice in Brazilian Portuguese.
