Yesterday, on January 20th, I turned 23. All afternoon it was rainy, but later on, right before sunset, it was so beautiful out, and taking photos was what I wanted to do to remember that birthdays aren't all bad. I dislike birthdays because I always feel stressed, because people tend to forget and every year I feel confronted with that. But this year, it was good. Most people remembered, and they made my day as good as this beautiful sky I photographed.

Added 5 photos to Belgium, of my daytrip to Antwerp in april 2005.

January 9th, I updated Macro/Nature and today I set up The Writings on the Walls, where I collect various photos of texts and graffiti on walls or other surfaces. |

Taken: today (january 9th 2005) and in december (the spiderwebs one).
Categorized under macro photography: flowers/plants, objects (with the new layout there will be a 'nature' and 'object category' and all will then be moved to 'nature').
Will soon be added to Phantomato.com, I expect to update the site this week so stay tuned!

Hi everyone who watches this journal (yay).
 phantomato might not be updated for a few weeks because my harddisk crashed. I did make backups of all my photography so the most important thing in my life at the moment is okay and safe, it will just be troublesome to update for the time being.

This is the entrance passage way to one of the city's shopping centers. That day was one of the first times I started to use my camera in public, not really caring whether people looked at me funny for photographing something so 'random'. The shapes as well as the colours make me like this photo.

Took this picture today. The light allows for you to see the structure of the various kinds of leaves in this plant, so I took a photograph of it with the darker leaves framing the lighter one.
