WHAT'S THIS COMMUNITY ABOUT THEN?
Okay, cowboy. Over here, we dont rate how you look. Or what sorta shit you listen to. We review music. The latest albums some band put out.
We review shows. If you have pictures of any show you went to, you post them here and you talk about the pit or something. We post show flyers.
If your band is playing a show, you tell us where and when and how to get there.
If you're putting up shows yourself and you have a couple of extra slots, you tell us.
We like to know about some new band that came out. We like to be introduced to some good shit. Eversince Alexisonfire turned soft, there is this sudden desperation to discover more stuff and not rely on hype.
If you need a guitarist/drummer/bassist, you post your ad here.
If you hate a band, you tell us why.
You post urls to mp3s here so that other people can listen also.
If your zine just came up with a new issue, advertise it here. We'd like to see your covers also and please include ordering info and stuff, as usual. Like I said, we love zines.
If your distro just came up with some new stuff in stock, tell us.
There is no such thing as shitty music unless I decide to be bitchy one day and say it is so. However, I draw the line at N Sync and Jessica Simpson and her sister who tries very hard to look and sound like the next Avril Lavinge who in turn is trying to sound like the next Alanis Morissette.
Canadians. (That was a joke.)
By the way, we think Avril Lavigne is cute. If you hate her because of nothing except that it's the in thing to hate her, fuck you.
The whole point of this community is to share opinions and ideas.
Yeah rules suck but I got to make sure this place doesnt go haywire. So...

RULES

- Creative criticism is okay but being an asshole isnt. I will ban your fucken ass if you try something funny.
- No promoting of rating communities here. I mean it.
- No homophobic remarks. Your moderator is a lesbian.
- You can rant and rave but please put it behind an lj-cut if it's gonna look like an essay.
- You can post pictures of yourself although I dont really see why you need to do that.

That's all.
Have fun,
Trent

This community is mainly about introducing the Singapore scene but if you're from elsewhere, that's fine. We can find out about each other and exhange music, etc.

The featured band of this month in our Listening Post is Gray Lines Of Perfection.
Let's take a turn towards hardcore, shall we? Currently on the Stab Here label, Gray Lines Of Perfection is beautiful hardcore that is really, if you pay close attention, a mish mash of synth and acoustic post rock with melodic metallic riffs that sometimes border on post-hardcore and then sometimes swerving to doom/death. Screamy vocals and sing-alongs threatening to burst your record player and bring on the mosh. For fans who like diversity in their hardcore - harder hardcore that you dont normally expect from a Christian band. (STOP THINKING NORMA JEAN!) They're currently on the THE LOVE HOPE STAB WINTER TOUR with The Dead Season. Check their stuff out. Intense as fuck.

The Anti-Rockstar Rockstar is a mini zine that focuses on the more hypocritical aspects of the scene, any scene, and what most kids in the scene won't want to admit: the fashionxcore craze, elitism, music, art, rants and reviews. The zine will be available for international order at the end of the year. More updates will be posted in the community soon.
