No HOTAS support. DO NOT BUY.
The only stick and throttle you can use is the offical one that is sold with Ace Combat branding. It's AC7 all over again. ♥♥♥♥ these bastards.

Dude this isn't DCS. This is a ARCADE GAME like the rest of the series.

Doesn't mean that people who want to use their HOTAS/HOSAS shouldnt be able to use them.

You dont think its weird people want to use wheels when playing racing games. do you?

PS: Nvm, name checks out. Leave this Thread
This patently false. I am using the same stick I used for Ace Combat 7 on PC, a Thrustmaster T Flight HOTAS X from 2010. It works perfectly fine in game.

Oh, you mean the licensed one thats a downgrade from my VKB Gladiator Setup i have sitting here?

Let me rephrase then: BASIC PERIPHERAL SUPPORT.
This ♥♥♥♥ is standard since... i dunno 2018?
Ace Combat 7 did work with my Thrustmaster T16000.
Are you sure it doesn't work with ANY other HOTAS than the Ace Combat branded (can't find it on google tho)?

AC7 added Config Files post-launch that let you manually bind Buttons and axis in a .ini File that the game then recognized as inputs.
Nothing ingame. Nothing native.
Hotas One working fine with the game BUT it is a bit weird like some inputs are missing or messed up.
T flight hotas one works like a charm.
I would settle for a working game engine. HOTAS is a luxury.
HOTAS in an arcade game? LOL you cannot be serious
No HOTAS support over here either. Using a MOZA AB9 with an MH16 Grip and the MTP throttle + Slaw Device RH Rotor pedals. I was able to bind all this in AC7 using the config. There's no excuse to not have generic joystick support in a 2026 air combat game on PC.

it's allowed on console, hori made even one for it
Oh and the original arcade cabinet for Air Combat and Air Combat 22 had a hotas.

It's weird they didn't learn a thing from the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that was 7 and now there's an anti-cheat that doesn't allow for x360ce.
I'll have to try with Steam Input and I hate that thing.

Ah yes. The "not my problem but ill add my ♥♥♥♥" argument.
Because you cant afford one doesn'T mean that people who did shouldnt be able to use it

Who said I didnt own one? Nice try.

The fact is that HOTAS are only good for sim games, arcade just dont have the control configuration to fully support the added nuance provided.
